With an acceptance rate of 65%, the university has more than 6,000 students including 4,048 undergraduates and 2,124 graduate students.

Boila invites applications for Fall, Spring and Summer Sessions. The University has nine schools and offers more than 150 academic programs at the bachelor’s, masters and doctoral levels.

  • International applicants are advised to apply early.
  • Applicant have to submit an essay, as without this requirement the application will not be reviewed.
  • The minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required for admission.
  • Biola University accepts standardized scores of SAT, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL for English Language requirements.

Biola University International Student Admissions

International applicants can apply through University’s website. The applicant has to submit a well-written essay with the application. The application will not be reviewed without the essay.

Academic Requirements - Academic transcripts of their previous qualifications, English Proficiency scores, Letter of Recommendation, Essay.

Supporting documents - Financial Information, Valid Visa

Visa Process for International Students-

  • Student must submit the enrollment deposit. All the International students have to apply for the F-1 or J-1 visa to be able to study at the Biola University.

  • For this, the applicant has to obtain Form I-20 (or Form DS-2019) from the university. Applicants will need to provide the following documents to receive the Form I-20:
    • Copy of valid passport
    • Financial Information
    • Affidavit of Financial Support
    • Biola Transfer Authorization Form

Biola University Undergraduate Admissions

The University has various undergraduate programs for in Accounting, Biology, Applied Psychology, Biblical Ministries, Art, Business Administration, etc.

During the Fall 2018, admissions the university received 3784 applications out of which 3295 were offered admission, making an acceptance rate of 87%. The university is not very selective in admission. Fulfilling minimum requirements would suffice to get admission.

The applicants applying for Fall semester in Early action 1 and early action 2, the decision notification will release on January 15 and February 15 respectively.

For Spring semester the decision notification will arrive as the application is processed.

Decisions are made only on completed applications.
