Kogod School of Business Courses

Kogod has 200+ full-time faculty offering a full-time master's in business administration (FTMBA) program, as well as seven specialized master of science (MS) degrees in accounting, analytics, finance, marketing, sustainability management, real estate, and taxation. In addition to that, they also offer undergraduate majors and minors, and certificate degrees.

Kogod School of Business Campus

The 90-acre main campus is strategically located in a beautiful residential district of Washington, DC. It is an accredited arboretum that combines the advantages of a traditional college setting with the energy, culture, and opportunities of a global capital city. The campus is well-equipped with furnished rooms, art facilities, cable access, wire and wireless internet access.

Kogod School of Business Residence

Kogod School of Business, USA provides on-campus accommodation to its students through dynamic communities. The school has 11 residence halls. Students who prefer off-campus housing can look for rented apartments.

Residence Halls and their description:

  • Anderson Hall: Anderson Hall is a shelter to the largest first-year population on campus, housing over 770 residents.
  • Cassell Hall: Cassell Hall is home to sophomore, junior, and senior students, housing over 350 residents living in suites.
  • Centennial Hall: Centennial Hall is home to almost 400 first-year students.
  • East campus: Constitution, Duber, and Federal halls are home to sophomore students, housing approximately 590 residents.
  • Frequency: Residents of 2 Bedroom and large 1 bedroom apartments will also receive a couch and dining furniture.
  • Hughes Hall: Hughes Hall is home to sophomore and upper-class students, housing approximately 300 sophomores, juniors, and seniors living together within the same living units and floors.
  • Letts hall: Letts Hall is home to the second-largest first-year population on campus, housing over 600 residents.
  • Leonard Hall: Leonard Hall is home to a diverse population of students, housing 275 residents.
  • McDowell Hall: McDowell Hall is home to sophomore students, housing 370 residents.
  • Nebraska Hall: Nebraska Hall is home to 250 juniors and seniors.
  • Roper Hall: Roper Hall is a small, tightly knit first-year building housing 50 residents.

Kogod School of Business Application Process

Application Portal: Apply online at Kogod School of Business’s Application portal.

Application deadline: Fall semester: May 1, Spring: October 1

Admission Requirements: Official high school transcripts, official program completion certificates, mark sheets, English language Scores, Letters of Recommendation, a current resume, a personal statement, GMAT/GRE score.

Additional requirements: Birth certificate, passport copy, Valid student Visa, proof of health insurance, proof of financial support.

English Proficiency Requirements: International students are required to submit an IELTS or TOEFL test scores to demonstrate proficiency in English language.

Cost of Attendance

At Kogod School of Business, fresher enrolment fee comprises of tuition fee, personal fees, loan fees and communication fees. Tuition fees for undergraduate programs is 1,635 USD per credit and 1,759 USD per credit for graduate programs.

Scholarships Awarded

Following scholarships are awarded by the Kogod School of Business:

  • Merit Scholarship: All applicants are considered for this scholarship. This is awarded to those who have exceptional academic performance and great leadership skills.
  • ACCA USA Ethics in Accounting & Finance Scholarship: An amount of $1,000 is awarded to those pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in an accounting-related major in American University. Students are supposed to maintain a CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
