Updated On - October 19th 2019By -  Mansi Sharma

The application process of Wake Forest University (WFU) is quite different. The university no longer requires applicants to submit scores in standardized tests such as the SAT or the ACT. The application process is more interview based.

The acceptance rate of the university is low. In the 2017-18 session, WFU received 13073 applications for undergraduate programs out of which only 3604 were offered admission. That indicates an acceptance rate of 27.5%.

Factors affecting admissions in WFU -

  • High school curriculum and classroom performance
  • Student’s writing ability
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Evidence of character and talent

Points to keep in mind while applying to WFU -

  • International applicants may apply Early Decision or Regular Decision. Early Decision is a binding agreement to enrol if admitted.
  • Interviews are not required but are strongly encouraged, especially for early decision applicants and students interested in being considered for merit scholarships.
  • The applicant should schedule the interview as soon as possible. The interview can be conducted on campus or online via Skype.
