    Amherst College is a private liberal arts college located in Amherst, Massachusetts, United States. It is the third oldest higher education institute in Massachusetts founded in 1821. It is regarded as one of the premier liberal arts institutions offering a choice of 40 majors for higher studies in the US. Amherst College has more than 1,800 undergraduate students. Around 10% of the total students come from more than 50 countries. For enrollment in the class of 2022, the college received 9,723 applications of which 13% were accepted while 39% enrolled in various programs. Around 492 students enrolled in the class of 2022 including 7% international students.

    Amherst College Admission Deadlines

    Amherst College has two options for applicants; apply under either Early Decision (ED) or Regular Decision.

    • As an Early Decision applicant, the applicant must agree to not apply at any other college for ED admissions.
    • The applicant must withdraw their application from other colleges and enroll at Amherst if they’re admitted.
    • If applying under the regular decision, applicants are not required to fulfill any of the above conditions.
    • 90% of the applicants choose to apply for Regular Decision.

    Visa Process for International Students

    Accepted international students need to obtain an F-1 or J-1 visa to study at Amherst College.

    • After receiving an offer from Amherst, pay your deposit to confirm your enrollment at Amherst College

    Amherst College Undergraduate Admissions

    Over 850 courses across 40 different majors are offered at Amherst.     Amherst College Transfer Students Admissions 

    Transfer seeking applicants may apply to Amherst College after completing the equivalent of 32 semester hours of transferable liberal arts coursework at another college or university. For being competitive, students should have at least an A- average in their college courses.

    Eligibilty Requirements:

    Applicants are required to submit the following documents-
