The rent was $1000 per month. The rooms are ok in the Buffalo region. It's an old city and people will have a cultural shock. Candidates who reached early got houses closer. Also, people reach out to seniors to book rooms on their behalf as rooms run out very fast.
My accommodation was almost 20 minutes away from the bus stop. So it was quite a walk. The bus service is provided by the university from north campus to South campus. During winter the frequency is increased so that people have to wait less during extreme cold.

There could have been more assistance in job search for international students or placement opportunities.
People who took 11 months course curriculum struggle to get on campus jobs as there are very little opportunities for them.

Computer Science course Curriculum. When I was there it was studying, the course structure was different which was very good. We got to choose the course which we planned to take.
The campus is very peaceful with a lake, sunset view.
The university has a strong alumni network who'd like to help every new joiner.

Dislikes

The course curriculum is very hard.
Professors show no mercy. They don't care if you will get A grade if you score 0.2 marks more.
We gotta work very hard for courses that are lease applied in our daily work life.

I chose off-campus housing near the North Campus because it's easy to walk to campus; i dont need to simply wait for a bus to come and go to university. There are pleanty on groups on Facebook, Whatsapp, even ISS(International Student Services) community help in looking for accomadation.
I was a part of UB Housing group on whatsapp where they posted housing options avaiable, I also had made friends who helped me find if it was legit. I live in a 6 BKH, On the upper unit, we have 4 rooms, I bathroom, 1 kitchen. and on the lower Unit we have 2 rooms, 1 Bathrooma and 1 kitchen. The rent is about $455 per person, and the utilities(gas, electricity,water,wifi) comes upto $100 per person. it can vary based on weather/seasons.
A lot of houses here have utilities inclusive. And the house options are more on South campus, but classes happen in north, UB has Bus options very frequently travelling accross north and south.

I really liked the infrastructure of the college. Specially some classes of CS in fall semester will be held in NSC building, which is recently constructed with latest amenities and welcoming classrooms.
Access to UB's own box and onedrive storage including microsoft 365 suite. Very easy to share work while working in teams. Recording demo and presentation using stream is also helpful and can be shared directly within organization.
Very good research activities on campus where many professor has 50+ h-index for their publications. So, students can reach out to them directly if they are interested in such opportunity.

Dislikes

Some class indirectly require attendance as a part of bonus inclass activities.
Nearby areas will give countryside vibe, rather then city vibe. Buffalo winters are harsh and it gets frustrating some times to live in below 0 degree celcius from November to March
Relatively less celebration of Indian festival unlike other universities, where Diwali, Holi, Navratri celebrated widely and on a large scale.

Great Campus, you can enjoy being on campus. Especially the lake on the campus.
The Professors, You can choose your professors; if you get lucky, you might get some great professors.
The bus service is great if you live on or off campus near the uni, you don't have to worry about transportation.

Dislikes

Most of the courses are of 1.5 years.
You need to take four subjects each in the first two semesters, which makes life a little stressful.
On-campus jobs are quite competitive, it is almost impossible to get one in the first semester.
