GLA University Mathura admission generally requires the university's entrance test, GLAET, along with the academic qualification for the chosen course. Regular BTech requires 50% in the specified Class 12 subjects and 50% overall. BBA and regular BCA accept 50%, while MBA requires 50% in graduation. Several specialised courses have higher requirements.

The available eligibility rules are for 2026–27. The university has not confirmed a complete 2027 admission calendar. The course conditions below relate to Mathura; applicants choosing the Greater Noida campus should select that campus separately in their application. PhD admission follows a separate research admission process.

GLA University Admission and GLAET

Students first register for GLAET, pay the entrance fee and choose an available test centre and time. After qualifying, they pay the required token amount for the selected course, complete their profile and submit documents. The university checks original documents at the campus before completing admission.

The GLA admission procedure states that applicants can check the GLAET result online after 24 hours. Test slots are offered on different dates. A particular programme's seat availability and selection requirements still apply after the result, so students should complete the steps shown in their admission account.

Engineering Entrance Test

The university's BTech admission page describes a 120-minute multiple-choice test with 90 questions: 20 in Physics, 45 in Mathematics and 25 in English. It also states that eligible candidates qualify GLAET and attend a personal interview. The Mathematics section has the largest number of questions in this BTech pattern.

GLA provides course-wise syllabi and sample papers. Applicants should prepare for the paper for their chosen programme, since a pharmacy, management or postgraduate application may use a different subject pattern. The 2026 process is an earlier-cycle reference until the university announces the next intake's test arrangements.

GLA University BTech Admission

Regular Engineering and CSE

Most four-year BTech courses require Physics and Mathematics, together with Chemistry or Computer Science. Applicants need 50% in this subject group and 50% overall. The university lists a five-percentage-point relaxation in minimum eligibility for SC/ST students.

This requirement covers regular CSE and branches such as Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. CSE specialisations listed from the second year include AI and Data Science, Cyber Security and AI, Cloud and DevOps, Gaming Technology, IoT and Robotics, Business Informatics and Full Stack Development.

Regular Engineering and CSE
BTech option Class 12 subject condition Minimum marks before category relaxation
Regular CSE and listed conventional branches Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Computer Science 50% in the group and 50% overall
CSE AI and ML Physics, Mathematics, English/Computer Science 65% in the group and 50% overall
CSE (Hons), AI and Analytics with Intel and NEC Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science/English 75% in the group and 75% overall
Biotechnology Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, Physics/Computer Science 50% in the group and 50% overall

AI Courses and Biotechnology

CSE AI and ML has a higher subject-group requirement than regular CSE. The honours programme in AI and Analytics raises both the group and overall minimum to 75%. Students interested in these options should use the qualification for that exact programme instead of the general engineering percentage.

Biotechnology permits Biology in place of Mathematics within its stated subject combination. Chemistry is compulsory, with Mathematics or Biology and Physics or Computer Science. This allows an eligible Biology student to apply even where the usual Physics–Mathematics engineering combination is not available.

BTech Lateral Entry

Lateral entry allows eligible applicants to enter the second year and complete the remaining three years. The university accepts a recognised three-year diploma, or an eligible two-year lateral-entry diploma, with 50%. For the listed conventional engineering branches, the diploma can be in an engineering or technology branch recognised by the relevant board or university.

BSc PCM applicants need 60%. The Biotechnology option also accepts specified life-science degrees, including Biotechnology, Microbiology or Life Sciences, with 60%. Students seeking transfer after a BTech first year need 60% and approval from GLA's Equivalence Committee for an external university or college. That approval checks whether previous study is suitable for the proposed entry.

BCA, BBA, Commerce and Arts Admission

Computer Applications

Regular BCA accepts Class 12 students from any stream with 50%. Its three-year and four-year honours or research options share the stated entry qualification. BCA Digital Marketing under the apprenticeship-embedded option also accepts 50% from any stream.

BCA AI and ML and BCA Data Science require Mathematics in Class 12 and at least 60%. These specialised options therefore have a subject restriction that regular BCA does not have in the university's eligibility table. Students from a non-Mathematics background should check the regular option against their qualification.

Management, Commerce and Humanities

Regular BBA and BBA Family Business require 50% in Class 12 from any stream. BBA Management Sciences and BBA Data Analytics and Business Intelligence require 60%. The analytics programme is offered in association with ISDC and the Institute of Analytics, UK, and has its own admission and fee conditions.

BCom, BA Economics and BA English accept 50% in Class 12 from any stream. Their three-year and four-year honours or research options should be selected according to the degree the student wants to pursue. The university lists SC/ST relaxation for these programmes in its eligibility schedule.

Pharmacy, Science and Agriculture Admission

BPharm, DPharm and Pharmacy Lateral Entry

BPharm requires Physics and Chemistry with Mathematics or Biology, with 50% in the subject group and 50% overall. For the 2026 intake, applicants must be 17 by 31 December 2026. DPharm requires 50% in Class 12 PCM or PCB and uses the same stated minimum-age date.

BPharm lateral entry requires a Diploma in Pharmacy from a PCI-approved institution with 60%. The 2026 condition requires the applicant to be 18 by 31 December 2026. It is a three-year entry after the diploma, whereas the regular BPharm starts after Class 12 and lasts four years. New-intake age dates should be taken from the next admission notice.

BSc and Agriculture Courses

BSc Biotechnology requires Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Mathematics or Biotechnology, with 50%. BSc Chemistry and BSc Physics require the corresponding school subject; BSc Mathematics with Data Science requires Mathematics. The minimum for these subject-based BSc courses is 50%.

BSc (Hons) Agriculture accepts Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Mathematics or Agriculture, or an eligible two-year Diploma in Agriculture, with 50%. The four-year integrated BSc BEd programme requires Class 12 Science with 50%. These subject requirements should be checked alongside the overall marks before applying.

GLA University MBA and Other PG Admission

MBA and MBA Honours

Regular MBA accepts a recognised bachelor's degree of at least three years with 50%. MBA (Hons) requires 60%. The university offers management areas including Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, International Business, Operations and Supply Chain Management.

The industry-linked Financial Markets and Banking and Logistics and Supply Chain Management programmes require 50% in graduation. The Business Analytics programme associated with ISDC and the Institute of Analytics requires 60%. Applicants must therefore check whether they are selecting a regular specialisation or a separately named collaborative programme.

MCA, MTech and MPharm

MCA requires a recognised bachelor's degree of at least three years with 50%, with Mathematics studied in Class 12 or graduation. MCA AI and ML instead specifies BCA or BSc Computer Science with 60%. The prior degree requirement is narrower for the specialised MCA.

MTech normally requires first division in the relevant BTech or accepted equivalent. For CSE, GLA lists eligible computing, electrical and electronics degrees, MCA and specified MSc subjects. Energy Systems accepts the stated engineering branches or MSc Physics. MPharm in Pharmacology or Pharmaceutics requires first division in BPharm.

Science, Commerce and Humanities PG Courses

  7. If accommodation is needed, pay the hostel amount and book a room once the payment appears in the account.
  8. Clear the required dues and attend physical document verification on the date communicated by the university.

Academic Records and Payments

Students should keep their school marksheets, proof of date of birth, identity document and photographs ready. Postgraduate and lateral-entry applicants also need the relevant degree or diploma records. Applicants claiming category relaxation or scholarship support need the applicable certificates. Original records are checked at the final verification stage.

Academic and hostel payments have separate purposes. For example, first-year regular CSE academic fees are ₹2.08 lakh in the 2026–27 Mathura schedule, before examination, caution money and other charges. Hostel rooms are limited and allocated on a first-come basis. A room is booked through the admission account after the hostel payment has cleared.
