Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana (Bihar Graduation Scholarship 2023)

Chief Minister Utthan Yojana has been started by the Government of Bihar to prevent child girl marriage so that female literacy can increase in Bihar and through this scheme, girl students can also get higher education through scholarships. Under this scheme, an incentive amount is given to inter-pass unmarried girls and graduate pass-girl students so that they can complete their higher studies. About 60 lahks to 1 crore girls will get benefit from this Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana every year.

• The main objective of this scheme is to prevent child marriage and to make girls aware of education.
• It aims to promote their education rate, to make girls self-reliant, to promote the contribution of women in the construction of family and society, to fix the standard of living of girls and also to give girls the right to equality in society.
• Under this scheme, girls of every family should be taken care of every necessary thing from birth to adolescence so that they can move forward in their life and play an important role in building a good society.
• This scheme by the Bihar government will give benefit only 2 girls of a family. If there are more than 2 girls in a family, then that family can get its benefit only from its two girls.
• This scheme has been implemented by the Bihar government in April 2018, in which only 1400 crore rupees will be spent per year on this scheme. At present, about 840 crores are spent every year on the education of girls in Bihar. That is, the total expenditure of Rs 2240 crore will be spent on the education of girls by the Bihar government.
• This scheme has not been made based on any caste, religion or income. Girl students of any caste and religion will get the benefit of this scheme without any discrimination. To take advantage of this scheme, it is mandatory to be a native of Bihar, otherwise, students from outside Bihar cannot take advantage of this scheme.

• This scholarship will be available to students of all classes.

Step 7: Provide the required information - Aadhaar Number, Gender, DOB, and Name on Aadhaar).

Step 8: Verify Your Mobile Number using SMS-based OTP Authentication.

Step 9: Verify Email ID by using email-based OTP Authentication.

Step 10: Enter bank account detail like Account Holder Name, Account Number, and IFSC Code.

Step 11: Enter residential/Domicile Details like Residential Certificate Number, Date of Issue, and Issued by.

Step 12: Click on Register Button
