- The university is very well connected and a great area for networking with like minded connections.
- The exposure that the university offers is a healthy competition and motivates to go beyond your limits and excel.

- The academics is thorough over here and very cumbersome, it is not an easy task to manage time and academics along with other activities but teaches you how to handle pressure

- The course is up to date with the industry and research market
- Industrial training is compulsory in the course, and research experience is open to your choice, how you want to do it
- The class schedule is up to your choice; every course has certain fixed days of lectures, out of which you can choose which one you want
- The average number of students is 40, but the students are not fixed every class, you fill new people as there is no class system
Fees
- Fees per unit are 1210 AUD, which increases with time (you can check it on the fees portal for UNSW as per the course). Every subject is a 6-credit subject, and you have to take a minimum of 18 credits per term as per your student visa conditions.
- UNSW is a trimester system, and the fees depend on the credits selected. The biomedical engineering master's course (8621) is a 96-credit course, and the estimated fees as of 2025 are 121000 AUD
Likes
- I came across this University co-incidentally when I was looking for courses in Systems Engineering and as it was one of the few universities to provide the course, I applied for it. Also, I was primarily looking in Australia and I was keen to pursue my Masters here.
- Coming from a different country, I think it’s most important for a foreign student to feel welcomed and the University was not short of that. I loved the University environment. The supportive staff and professors and the quality of education.
Dislikes
- There weren’t many scholarship opportunities at the time and the fees could be lowered or making a provision for international students to work to pay some portion of the student fees. Not much support in terms of part-time jobs or even work after graduation.
Course Curriculum
The school of engineering at UNSW is one of the best in the world. The curriculum was concise but not very core intensive, and was mostly theoretical. There was a choice to take up research project in the final which was great.

- UNSW is ranked and quite well known for Civil Engineering to be specific. The course offers structural engineering specialization and is quite flexible and industry oriented.
- Course curriculum is roughly as per industry standards and professor is really approachable. You can contact them and ask any questions. They are supportive and will guide you.
- UNSW has lot of events related to Career, Industry meet, career fairs, etc. where you actually get to talk to hiring managers, different companies, etc. .it's provides a plenty of networking opportunities.
Dislikes
- I won't say I dislike it. However, for masters, schedule is realky flexible and it's just 10-12 hrs per week. You gets loads of time and sometimes it could be a curse more than blessing. Apart from that, I feel campus is full of events and you could end up being distracted from your ling term goal .

The course is updated every year and is as per industry standards. I will be starting research next Sem, however, it has ton of opportunities for research and funding is available in abundance.

I am on a fully funded scholarship. So, I don't pay anything. Typically. For masters, it's of 2 year duration and you have to complete 16 courses. Each course being 6 units. Every course cost you roughly 6000 AUD which means tuition is roughly 16 x6000= 96000 AUD and living expenses roughly 25000 AUD/ year on an average.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum for my degrees is among the best in the whole country and is renowned internationally for its research impact and practical education. The courses are taught by well versed and expert professors and there are plenty of opportunities to develop your own skills in the subject and get to learn more. Industrial experience is a degree requirement (mandatory).
I like the country and future prospects in my field of study. I am also a recipient of one of their most prestigious scholarships which played a key role in me selecting my university. I have always been interested in Computer Science and UNSW being the best in the country for STEM education, I chose it for my undergraduate degree.

Extremely relevant in today's society and uses super current examples, also very flexible as to what subjects you want to take, can do exchanges abroad or work experience as part of your course.

A wide range of students from many different faculties. Meaning I get the opportunity to meet a lot of people and see what their degree is like for them.

I applied for HECS under Centrelink. Each term HECS pays off my semester fees which are generous as my family would not be able to pay my university fees right now. However, once I start working full time after I graduate. I will use all the money which I've made to pay off my university fees.
Course Curriculum
My faculty is very passionate about what they do you could see it in the way lecturers teach. It has been very progressive and professional thus far and I have no complaints about the quality of education I'm receiving.

I paid it all directly, there are scholarships however I did not apply for any. I am charged approximately $17k AUD a semester. My government does provide an interest-free loan however certain requirements need to be met and you have to prove you are actually succeeding in all your courses. The loan can then be referred to when you have gotten a job.
Course Curriculum
Issues are evident in the compression of the material in the switch from semesters to trimesters but other than that, the classes cover most bases pertaining to a holistic and well-rounded music education thus far.
Fees
The fees are paid through HECS (the Australian government lends students money when provided with the relevant tax file number. Then, when the individual is earning in a high enough tax bracket, it is paid as taxes. The whole process is interest-free). An average term for BMus (performance) at UNSW costs around $2300, not including mandatory ensemble fees, textbooks and instruments/maintenance. $480 per trimester is subsidized for private tuition.

The fees are extreme please make university education a lot cheaper like how do you expect us to afford like 100 thousand dollars straight out of high school somehow I can't believe this.

The course is well structured. Medicine programs around the world are quite long and thus are often very tedious to follow. The 6-year program allows for students to space out their work and learn other small courses in the middle as well.

The fee structure varies between courses, your visa or residential status and scholarship availability, mine was very different due to the scholarship.
