The scholarships at York University vary for domestic and international students. There are very few entrance scholarships that are applicable for all. Based on this, for the academic year 2020-2021, international students are offered around 100 scholarships.

The award values of York University scholarships in 2020 for undergraduate students range from 1,000 CAD to 35,500 CAD. These award values may change depending on the applicant pool.
Majority of admission-based undergraduate scholarships are available for specific faculties and are awarded on the basis of admission average at the time of admission to York University.

As mentioned earlier, none of these scholarships require a separate application, however, it is significant that you submit your admission applications before the deadlines.
In order to be considered for application-based undergraduate scholarships, students are asked to submit an International Student Scholarship & Award Application. You don’t need to have a confirmation of admission at the time of scholarship application. However, the 9-digit York reference number, allotted during the registration process, is required.

The scholarship opportunities for international graduate (masters and doctoral) students are divided into two systems, Internal University Scholarships and External Scholarships.
While the internal awards, that is, York University Scholarships cater and recognize various aspects, at the time of selection, the external awards mainly consider academic excellence and leadership skills.
