Canadore College International Admissions

Canadore College offers over 65 programs including certificate and diploma courses that can be availed post-secondary or post a bachelor degree. The courses offered are in a wide range of disciplines. A student while applying may choose up to 5 courses. The applicants must go through separate course requirements carefully so as to avoid any discrepancies in their application.

Visa Process for International Students

  • One must obtain an acceptance letter from the university. Following which, an applicant can apply for a visa package from the Canadian Visa Website (CIC website)
  • If the applicant is found eligible, they will receive a personal checklist code, valid for 60 days, needed to submit the application online. The page shall include an application guide, an estimated tuition fees amount, a list of documents one needs to submit with the application, and guidelines for further steps to be taken.
  • MyCIC account has to be created which shall contain the checklist. Once the applicant has all the required documents, and the fee has been paid, the online application can be submitted.
  • Some applicants may be required to attend interviews at local consulates.
  • General documents to take for the visa interview:
    • Passport (valid for at least six months ahead)
    • Original Application Form
    • Official Admission Letter
    • Completed and signed visa application form
    • Proof of permanent address outside the U.S.
    • Two Passport- sized photographs (2”x2")
    • Receipt of fee payment.
    • Proof of funding sufficient to cover your tuition and living expenses. The applicant may support this by providing the original versions of the Financial Affidavit of Support form and bank statement they submitted to receive immigration documents.

The University has a selective admission process. Applicants are advised to apply prior to the deadlines to ensure a better chance of selection. The university considers the applications with an overall approach. Applicants can expect their offer letters after February 1 (or October 1) depending on the time of their application. After receiving the offer letter, the applicant is advised to confirm the offer online with ontariocolleges.ca at the earliest. The post-admission steps are mentioned in the offer letter.
