Canadore College offers applications for its plethora of undergraduate and graduate courses for international students around the year. The applications for intakes become available approximately 4-5 months in advance and thus, candidates must note to apply at the first possible opportunity.

Admission Process

Application process in a few easy steps for international aspirants looking to enroll at the institute to study in Canadais as listed below.

NOTE: Applicants can apply any time round the year for the institute but they are highly encouraged to send in their entries prior to equal consideration deadlines for increasing their chances at enrollment.

English Proficiency Requirements

International students may submit either TOEFL, IELTS or any other equivalent scores to prove their English proficiency, mandatorily if they don't have English as their first language. Some of the tests considered as valid proof of language proficiency skills along with their corresponding scores are as tabulated below.

Visa Application Process

International candidates need to apply for a study permit and visa to study in Canada if the duration of the course they have enrolled in is longer than 6 months. The complete process usually lasts up to 4 to 8 weeks. Candidates are thus advised to apply for the permits at the earliest by consulting the nearest Canadain Embassy.

Natives and legal residents of countries including China, India, Morocco, Pakistan, the Philippines, among others are offered an alternative way of applying for a permit by Canadian government which is called Student Direct Stream (SDS). This helps the candidates in processing their permits faster but follows some mandatory requirements which must be met before applying via this medium.

The basic specifications required for SDS are as follows:

  1. Copy of acceptance letter.
  2. Proof of first-year paid tuition fee.
  3. Proof of Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) for 10,000 CAD.
  4. Medical exam.
  5. Qualifying language test score: English – 6.0 or more in each skill (IELTS).

The institute follows a comprehensive approach while processing applications and starts to release letters of acceptance after February 1 or October 1, depending upon the intake you have applied for.
