Campus

  • Columbia College is a 73,000 square foot five-story building situated in Vancouver, BC.
  • Campus is located on Terminal Avenue, two blocks away from Science World and Main Street sky train station.

Residence

Homestay

  • If the students require residence near the campus then college can arrange it with one of their volunteering or host families home, where the students will be provided with a comfortable room and 3 meals per day.
  • Students need to pay one-time placement fee to college and per month rent to the family.
  • Each family has been selected and visited by a college representatives ensuring the warm environment and comfortable stays.

Custodianship

Students under 19, while applying for study permit need to arrange a custodian in Canada who may help in the time of need. For homestay, students may take help of the college. They have the freedom to make custodianship arrangements themselves.

Admission Requirements

For students who have completed course requirements for:

  • Any high school program at Columbia
  • A BC Dogwood Diploma elsewhere, with a minimum average grade of C in four academic Grade 12 subjects, including either English 12 or Communications 12

International candidates must High School Matriculation results with C or better grade. Candidates presenting GCE results should have three Advanced level passes with a minimum score of D.

For domestic students-

  • High school graduation with minimum 60% as per B.C
  • GCSE, IGCSE etc exams are passed with minimum C grade
  • Good English verbal and written skills.

Documents required:

  • Transcripts of the most recent school results
  • Passport-sized photo
  • Copy of passport personal information page
  • Standard English test (IELTS, TOEFL etc ) results if available.
  • Upon applying, the college will issue a receipt and letter of acceptance to the successfully selected candidates.

University Transfer Program

  • Provides 1st and 2nd year university level courses to transfer students to universities.
  • Credits scored in college are pre-arranged by the university & it is mandatory for the universities in Canada and U.S to account the transfer credit listed by BCCAT Associate Degree Program- student in this program complete about 20 courses in 1st and 2nd year.

High School Program-

  • This program has four different courses.
  • On completion of secondary program makes a student eligible for direct admissions into university

How to Apply?

Step1: Apply either manually or online by filling an application form.

Step2:

  • you can pay the application fee of and make payment at
  • Upon applying, the college will issue a receipt and letter of acceptance to the successfully selected candidates.

Step3:

  • Do ensure that you have a valid study permit.
  • The selected international candidates should show their letter of acceptance to the Canadian High Commission or Canadian embassy to issue the study permit.

Step4:

  • Once letter of acceptance is received the international students need to deposit tuition fee with activity fee & medical insurance.
  • All the fees are in Canadian funds and can be paid via flywire

Work While you Study

  • The students having a valid study permit to study post-secondary courses in Canada can work off campus or do part time jobs for 20 hours a week.
  • Students can work part time at the time of semester for 20 hours and between the semesters full time. There is no restriction to the type of job they choose.
    • To enable working in Canada a student should apply for Social Insurance Number (SIN) from service Canada before or at least within the 3 days of beginning of employment.
