Holland College admissions run on a two-round cycle for the Fall 2027 intake, with an early-consideration window closing in weeks and a competitive-review window in February. Diploma applicants need Class XII at roughly 60 to 65 percent; Post-Graduate Certificate applicants need a completed Bachelor’s degree or a three-year diploma.

  • Next live deadline: 15 October 2026 (Fall 2027 early consideration, the primary intake).
  • Base tuition: CAD 10,831 to CAD 20,411 per year (INR 7.45 Lakhs to INR 14.04 Lakhs). Application fee: CAD 100 (around INR 6,877).
  • Eligibility floor: Class XII with 60% for diplomas; Bachelor’s degree for PG Certificates; IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 85.
  • Acceptance rate: estimated 75 to 80 percent, based on applied-college intake patterns.

Popular routes for Indian applicants include Business Administration, Computer Networking Technology, Graphic Design, and the AI and Data Analytics Post-Graduate Certificate. Student sentiment on Prince Edward Island (PEI) placements is strong given the province’s small-market employer network. Read the broader profile in the Holland College overview.

Admission Status: Closing Soon. The Fall 2027 primary intake (September 2027) is in early-consideration review, closing 15 October 2026. Applications are filed on Holland College’s own MyDashboard portal, and the application fee is CAD 100 (around INR 6,877). Missing this window leaves the competitive-review deadline of 28 February 2027, then rolling admission until seats fill.

Holland College Application Deadlines for Indian Students

Holland College uses a two-stage review model for its Fall (September) primary intake, followed by rolling admission for any remaining seats. Some programs also accept a January (Winter) start, though offerings are narrower. Dates below are drawn per the official Holland College how-to-apply page.

Holland College’s primary intake for Indian students is Fall (September) — most programs open here, with only select programs available in the Winter (January) cycle.

Insider note: Holland College does not defer offers between intakes, so if you accept a September seat and cannot travel, you must reapply for the next cycle.

Holland College Eligibility for Indian Students

Eligibility at Holland College works on two tracks: academic thresholds mapped to the program level, and English-language proof mapped to the accepted test list. Indian applicants who studied in an English-medium curriculum may qualify for a waiver on the English test.

  • Diploma general entry: Class XII (Grade 12) with credits at or above the general level, roughly 60 to 65 percent.
  • Post-Graduate Certificate entry: A completed post-secondary diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Bioscience Technology PG Certificate: BSc in Chemistry or Biology required.
  • Graphic Design Diploma: portfolio submission required alongside academic transcripts.

Holland College accepts a wide test list, so choose whichever you can score in fastest.

Holland College IELTS Waiver for Indian Students

  • Three consecutive years of post-secondary study delivered entirely in English, completed within two years of the program start date.
  • Prior study at a Canadian high school with English 621 at 70 percent or the provincial equivalent.
  • Completion of Holland College’s own EAP (English for Academic Purposes) or LINC pathway at CLB Level 8.

Note: Program-specific entry requirements, fees, and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official Holland College page for your chosen program before applying.

Holland College Post-Graduate Certificate Programs

Post-Graduate Certificates (PG Certs) at Holland College are one-year specialist credentials designed to convert a completed Bachelor’s degree into a job-ready Canadian qualification. All five listed programs are eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Base tuition sits around CAD 10,831 to CAD 13,796 (INR 7.45 Lakhs to INR 9.49 Lakhs) per year — see the course-wise fees breakdown for a full split.

Holland College Application Process

All Holland College applications go through MyDashboard, the college’s own applicant portal. There is no central platform such as OUAC — Holland College operates independently of the Ontario system. The process is short, but each step gates the next.

  1. Create a MyDashboard account on the Holland College international admissions page and pick your program.
  2. Pay the application fee of CAD 100 (around INR 6,877) via the MyDashboard portal by credit card.
  3. Upload transcripts, English-test scorecard (or waiver evidence), and any program-specific items like a Graphic Design portfolio.
  4. Submit before the early consideration or competitive review deadline for the strongest seat priority.
  5. Track offer status inside MyDashboard and respond within the acceptance window.
  6. Pay the CAD 1,000 (INR 68,770) confirmation fee within three weeks of receiving your offer to secure your seat.

Planning note: Apply in the 15 October window if you plan to apply for the Provincial Nominee stream or entrance scholarships, since both look at confirmed acceptances first.

Holland College Admission Decisions and Offer Timeline

Holland College begins releasing offers roughly four to six weeks after each review round closes. Offers are conditional until final Class XII transcripts and English proof are submitted.

  • Offer release: 4 to 6 weeks after the review-round deadline.
  • Acceptance window: confirm within 3 weeks of the offer letter date.
  • Confirmation fee: CAD 1,000 (INR 68,770), credited against first-semester tuition.
  • Deferral policy: Holland College does not defer offers between intakes — a missed intake means reapplying.

Holland College Documents Required

Prepare this document set before starting the MyDashboard application. All uploads should be scanned copies of originals; Holland College may request notarised or certified versions later.

  • Valid Indian passport (bio-page).
  • Class X and Class XII mark sheets and passing certificates.
  • Bachelor’s degree transcripts and degree certificate (for PG Certificate applicants).
  • English-test scorecard or documentary proof of a waiver pathway.
  • Statement of Purpose explaining program fit and PEI motivation.
  • Updated CV or resume, especially for PG Certificate applicants.
  • Portfolio (Graphic Design applicants only).
  • Proof of funds for the study permit — separate from the application, but assembled together.

Holland College Acceptance Rate

Holland College does not publish an official institutional acceptance rate. Based on applied-college intake patterns in Atlantic Canada, the effective admit rate sits at an estimated 75 to 80 percent for applicants who clear the academic and English floors.

Which Holland College programs are competitive?

Culinary Arts, Bioscience Technology PG Certificate, and Advanced Care Paramedicine fill fastest because they hold small cohort sizes. Business Administration, Computer Networking, and Computer Information Systems admit large cohorts and stay open longer into the rolling window. Check the Holland College ranking band to weigh program strength.

How to strengthen your Holland College application

Apply in the 15 October early-consideration window with a complete file — transcripts, English scores, and a specific SOP naming the program’s learning outcomes. Late applications compete for leftover seats rather than the primary allocation.

Insider note: Culinary Arts and Bioscience Technology often close months before the general deadline. Treat their "rolling" status as effectively closed by December for the next Fall intake.

Canada Student Visa Process for Holland College

Indian students admitted to Holland College apply for a Canada Study Permit from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Holland College’s DLI number is O19220082122, which goes on the visa application. Fund proof for a study permit currently requires CAD 20,635 (INR 14.19 Lakhs) in first-year living costs plus first-year tuition, with a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) accepted under the Student Direct Stream (SDS).

After receiving the Letter of Acceptance and paying the CAD 1,000 confirmation fee, applicants submit the study permit via the IRCC portal along with biometrics at a VFS Global centre in India. Once in Canada, students must attend orientation at Holland College and maintain full-time enrolment to keep the permit valid. The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) remains available for PGWP-eligible programs after graduation.

2026 update: IRCC caps on new international student study permits still apply for the 2027 intake. File the study permit as soon as the Letter of Acceptance is issued to avoid the queue at peak Fall processing.

Tips and Checklist for Holland College Admissions

The following tips and steps are drawn from Indian-applicant patterns at Holland College and Atlantic-Canada colleges more broadly. Follow them in order to keep the file competitive.

  • Book IELTS by August 2026: seats in Delhi and Mumbai fill fast before the October deadline.
  • Request transcripts 8 weeks ahead: Indian boards and universities can delay attested copies.
  • Draft the SOP around PEI, not just Canada: naming Charlottetown employers or the small-cohort model reads stronger.
  • Confirm within 3 weeks of the offer: Holland College withdraws unconfirmed seats and does not defer.
  • Line up GIC funds by January 2027: Scotiabank and ICICI process SDS-compliant GICs in India.
  • Apply for the entrance awards by 31 March 2027: a single MyDashboard form covers all internal awards.
  • File the study permit within a week of confirmation: processing slows sharply after May for Fall intakes.
  • Save the CAD 1,000 confirmation fee separately: it is deducted from Semester 1 tuition, not refunded.

Explore Holland College’s full program list and course-wise fees before locking a choice — switching after confirmation is not permitted for international students.

Holland College admissions favour early filers: submit by 15 October 2026 for the Fall 2027 primary intake, clear the Class XII 60% and IELTS 6.5 floors, and budget CAD 1,100 upfront for the application and confirmation fees. Waivers exist for English-medium graduates.

Overview

For me Holland College was a place like home; with so many other Bahamians and a tuition I and my single mother could afford efficiently. Throughout the years I have had my eyes set on playing basketball at a professional player, playing the shift guard in high school and making national teams with two division 1 scholarships but fate decided different I was hurt not the summer of 2019 with a broken ankle and lost both scholarships to universities and had to fall on my plan B. Holland college to learn the craft of journalism and still further my craft and do sportscasting. I've always appreciated writing.

Overview

I initially looked towards this program when my Culinary Technology teacher in High School suggested it to me. I applied, paid the $50 application fee, and sent in my transcripts and personal information. I applied solely to this college as I believed I had a good chance with my background. The admission process and waiting period afterwards were smooth and there were always people to answer any questions I had.
