My father was in the aviation industry and there from childhood I wanted to be a part of the aviation industry. So after high school I was looking for courses related to the aviation industry. while going through the courses I found this college, I liked the reviews and curriculum and finally filled the application form online for $75.
The work of the course is to maintain and modify airframes, air structures and technologies. The course provides hands-on experience in real aircraft for practice. In theory, it covers concepts like the working of the engine associated systems for the aircraft and airframe.
During my grade 12 year we get information given to us by different post secondary schools. I went to a different school (Cape Breton University) for almost five years after graduating highschool and realized I wanted to switch career paths. I decided to take this program at Nova Scotia Community College. I looked up on their website all about the school, the tuition, the courses I'd be taken within the program and realized this is what I want to do. I found out you could take this program fully online which then made me want to take it even more because now I could still work full time and go to school. With already having student loans from previous schools at CBU, I needed to continue to make money to pay for this program instead of loans. I had a high 90 average graduating grade 12 which was an absolute honor to be gifted with the awards I was at graduation.
The course curriculum is great. It is organized and is very helpful throughout your studies.
Nscc is a very popular college and has many locations across Nova Scotia. I opted for kingstec nscc because I loved the physical location and being in the valley. The admission process was simple, as all I did was send an application form with a $25 dollar fee which could have been waived at their open house if I applied then. I applied in February and got accepted in June. I had only applied to nscc at two locations which were kingstec in Kentville, and the campus in Yarmouth. I had high hopes in being accepted as I graduated grade 12 year with high honours.
The course curriculum is a lot but is not too challenging. I find it does repeat a lot of outcomes throughout multiple courses.
I was an average student right from the beginning and with present-day competitive world conditions, my parents were afraid of how my education or career would take shape. Since my father is a Software Engineer, he tried to impregnate as much coding knowledge as possible in me through his never-ending lectures on them. Of course, that made a guiding path for me to walk upon, making me dream of my education base in software. Also, I was very specific about taking up a two-year course since I wanted to keep the duration of it limited and hence came Nova Scotia's Diploma in IT Programming as an unexpected breeze. With my high school transcripts, Study Permit necessities and an application fee of $75, I completed my admissions process swiftly.
In this program, I am learning to create software solutions, writing effective code, and following established coding and design standards. Throughout my studies, I will be working in some of the individual and in some team projects as well. With the help of this curriculum, I am also getting trained to liaise with clients who have non-technical backgrounds.

It is not just those classroom hours that make my college time. Outside classes, I lead a number of communities and volunteer service events. Those periodically organized workshops and webinars ensure to improve my skill-set as much as they have paved the way for me to transform from a reserved to an actively socializing person.
It is one of the best trade schools in the country with a high employment rate and the program I have been interested in has been offered in very few colleges across country and NSCC is one of those. It has very reasonable tuition fees. The admission process is quite straightforward and the faculty is very good. My friends, who graduated from this college recommended this and I had a great experience so far and hope to graduate with honours.
The course curriculum has been made very precisely and accordingly. It covers and helps to establish all the skills need to enter into the industry as an apprentice and learn as you go.
