The college has a network of 13 campuses and 3 community learning center which offer specializations in a number of professional areas.
On-campus residence is available only at Truro Campus, Truro, Nova Scotia. Davis Hall can accommodate 160 students during fall and winter semesters.

Full-time students with valid study permit are eligible to work on campus for unlimited period of time
The work period off campus is limited to a maximum of 20 hours/week during the academic session. Students can work full time during academic breaks.
Students are required to have an SIN to be allowed to work on and off campus. Students can get an SIN at a Service Canada office in Waterloo or Brantford. They need to provide the study permit and other documents while applying for SIN.
Nova Scotia Community College offers more than 900 scholarships, bursaries and awards.
Some are awarded to students of specific campuses or program or year of study, most are open to all the NSCC students.

Donald R. Sobery Bursary Program:
Students receive $ 2000 as financial aid. Students under this scheme must have a need for aid. The applicants should be referred from a community organization or law enforcement agency operating in Nova Scotia.
Urgent Financial Aids: Campus based urgent aids are available only to current students who are finding it difficult to continue education because of lack of funds.
The alumni network of NSCC is spread worldwide. Alumni of NSCC get numerous benefits and services from the college which include insurance services, discount offers, rental offers, access to job listings on NSCC website, etc.
The Alumni Legacy Award is given to the off-springs of the alumni entering the college. The award is of $500.
