Nova Scotia Community College Campus & Housing

The college has a network of 13 campuses and 3 community learning center which offer specializations in a number of professional areas.

  1. Akerley Campus: Located in Dartmouth, this campus homes culinary and tourism programs.
  2. Annapolis Valley Campus: It runs from two locations – COGS (Centre of Geographic Sciences) and Middleton. Annapolis campus has an international repute due to its popular geomatics training.
  3. Burridge Campus: Burridge campus is recognized for its environmental practices for managing waste and reducing its carbon footprint.
  4. Cumberland Campus: This campus enjoys of being the only the post-secondary institution in Cumberland county. Its main campus is located in Springhill.

Residence at NSCC:

On-campus residence is available only at Truro Campus, Truro, Nova Scotia. Davis Hall can accommodate 160 students during fall and winter semesters.

Nova Scotia Community College Admission Process

NSCC prioritizes the admission on the basis of resident ship and citizenship. Priority lists as follows:

  • Citizenship of Canada and Mailing address in Nova Scotia (i.e. residents of Nova Scotia)
  • Citizenship of Canada and Living outside Nova Scotia
  • Not a citizen or a resident of Canada

Work while you Study:

Full-time students with valid study permit are eligible to work on campus for unlimited period of time

The work period off campus is limited to a maximum of 20 hours/week during the academic session. Students can work full time during academic breaks.

Students are required to have an SIN to be allowed to work on and off campus. Students can get an SIN at a Service Canada office in Waterloo or Brantford. They need to provide the study permit and other documents while applying for SIN.

Donald R. Sobery Bursary Program:

Students receive $ 2000 as financial aid. Students under this scheme must have a need for aid. The applicants should be referred from a community organization or law enforcement agency operating in Nova Scotia.

Urgent Financial Aids: Campus based urgent aids are available only to current students who are finding it difficult to continue education because of lack of funds.

NSCC Alumni Network
