Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a polytechnic institute. The Institute enrolled more than 11,023 (full-time) and 1,270 (part-time) students for 2018 admissions. SAIT Polytechnic offers more than 1,300 continuing education courses, 100 career programs, and corporate training courses to employees of more than 200 companies annually.

Aspirants can apply to a variety of applied degrees, baccalaureates, certificate programs and diplomas from all over the world. Students can apply to more than one course at a time, but the application process and fee must be submitted separately for each course. Students who completed their education outside Canada, an international document assessment is required to ensure that all requirements have been met. SAIT offers admissions to aspirants hailing from over 140 countries. Students who do not have Canadian citizenship and are enrolled in a program that is longer than six months require a permit, which is issued by the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
