University of Calgary admissions run on a single primary Fall (September) intake for international applicants, with a Winter (January) opening for a smaller set of programs, and Indian students need a Class XII aggregate of about 80% for competitive undergraduate faculties or a three or four year Bachelor’s with a 3.0/4.0 GPA (roughly 65 to 70%) for graduate entry.
- Fall 2027 primary intake: international undergraduate applications close 1 March 2027 and the document deadline is 15 March 2027.
- Base tuition starts at CAD 2,724 per 3-unit graduate course (INR 1.89 Lakhs). Application fee is CAD 145 (INR 10,065) for anyone with international schooling.
- UG floor: Class XII around 80% plus IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 86. PG floor: 4-year Bachelor’s with a B (3.0/4.0) average and IELTS 6.5.
- Institution-wide acceptance rate sits in the 20 to 30% band on public estimates, with Haskayne MBA, Cumming Medicine, and Schulich Engineering running noticeably tighter.
Indian applicants concentrate around Schulich Engineering, the Haskayne Full-time MBA, the MSc Computer Science, and the MSc Data Science and Analytics, with Bachelor of Nursing pulling steady interest from students weighing the Alberta post-graduation work permit route. Recent Indian intakes flag the September 2026 cycle as well organised on the portal side but slow on document verification, so allow buffer. Full campus, ranking, and placement context sits on the University of Calgary overview.

University of Calgary Application Deadlines
Undergraduate international applications for the Fall 2027 primary intake are handled by the University of Calgary Admissions Office, per the official UCalgary dates page. Graduate program deadlines are set by individual departments, so always cross-check the specific program page before you file.
UCalgary’s primary intake for Indian students is Fall (September), where nearly every faculty opens seats. Winter (January) accepts fewer programs and Spring or Summer entries are largely limited to select engineering and community-based tracks.
| Intake | Level | Applications Open | Deadline | App Fee | Portal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fall 2027 (Sept), Primary intake | Undergraduate (International) | 15 August 2026 | 1 March 2027 (docs by 15 March 2027) | CAD 145 (INR 10,065) | cas.ucalgary.ca |
| Fall 2027 (Sept) | Haskayne Full-time MBA (International) | 15 September 2026 | 1 March 2027 | CAD 145 (INR 10,065) | cas.ucalgary.ca |
| Fall 2027 (Sept) | Haskayne Accelerated MBA (International) | 15 September 2026 | 1 May 2027 | CAD 145 (INR 10,065) | cas.ucalgary.ca |
| Fall 2027 (Sept) | Graduate research and course-based (International, typical) | Rolling from Sept 2026 | 1 December 2026 to 1 February 2027, program-set | CAD 145 (INR 10,065) | cas.ucalgary.ca |
| Winter 2028 (Jan) | Graduate, select programs | Rolling from Feb 2027 | 1 August 2027 to 15 September 2027, program-set | CAD 145 (INR 10,065) | cas.ucalgary.ca |
Insider note: The undergraduate application shows a lower CAD 125 fee if you tick only Canadian schooling. Any Indian secondary or post-secondary study on the form pushes the fee to CAD 145.
UCalgary Eligibility for Indian Students
Eligibility at the University of Calgary works at two levels. The Faculty of Graduate Studies and each undergraduate faculty publish an institution-wide floor, and then each program layers on subject prerequisites, English score minimums, and a competitive average that usually sits well above the floor.
- UG general entry: Class XII (CBSE, ISC, or state board) with an aggregate of at least 65%, and the competitive average for Science, Engineering, and Nursing typically runs 80% or higher.
- UG subject prerequisites: Schulich Engineering needs Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in Class XII. Bachelor of Science needs Mathematics and one of Physics, Chemistry, or Biology. Haskayne BComm needs Mathematics.
- PG general entry: A four-year Bachelor’s with a minimum B average (3.0/4.0), roughly 65 to 70% in the Indian scale, or a 3-year Bachelor’s plus a Master’s for many departments.
- English minimums: IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band under 6.0, TOEFL iBT 86 with no section under 20, PTE Academic 59, and Duolingo English Test 120.
University of Calgary IELTS Waiver for Indian Students
UCalgary allows an English Language Proficiency (ELP) exemption in two situations relevant to Indian applicants. At the undergraduate level, three years of study in one of the 43 ELP-exempt countries or at an accredited American, British, or CIS-affiliated international school (with English as the primary language of instruction) waives the test. India-based CBSE, ICSE, and state-board schools do not qualify on their own, but IB Diploma English A at 5 or higher, GCE A-level English at B or higher, and AP English at 4 or higher do qualify.
At the graduate level the waiver is broader. A Graduate Program Director may waive testing if the applicant has completed a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years, or a Master’s, at an institution where English is the language of instruction and examination. Most Indian applicants from English-medium engineering, science, and business universities fall inside this route, but it is granted at the program’s discretion, not automatically. Attach a formal medium-of-instruction letter from your institution with the application.
UCalgary PG Programs and English Scores
Postgraduate admissions run through the Faculty of Graduate Studies, with departments setting the academic and English floor per the international graduate applicants page. Base tuition for course-based Master’s starts at CAD 2,723.70 per 3-unit course (INR 1.89 Lakhs) for the general fee band and rises to CAD 5,046.54 per course (INR 3.50 Lakhs) for the MSc Data Science and Analytics. Full per-program figures sit on the course-wise fees breakdown.
| Programme | Duration | Minimum Eligibility | English Req. Min. |
|---|---|---|---|
| MSc Computer Science (Thesis) | 2 years | 4-year Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related, minimum B (3.0/4.0) | IELTS 6.5 |
| MSc Data Science and Analytics (MDSA) | 16 months | 4-year Bachelor’s in a quantitative discipline, B+ (3.3/4.0) preferred | IELTS 7.0 |
| MEng Software Engineering (course-based) | 2 years | 4-year Engineering Bachelor’s, minimum B (3.0/4.0) | IELTS 6.5 |
| MEng Sustainable Energy Development | 16 months | 4-year Bachelor’s in Engineering, Science, or Business, minimum B | IELTS 6.5 |
| MSc Sustainable Energy Development | 2 years | 4-year Bachelor’s with a B average and quantitative background | IELTS 6.5 |
| Master of Public Policy (MPP) | 2 years | 4-year Bachelor’s, minimum B (3.0/4.0), with a policy or social-science background preferred | IELTS 7.0 |
| MSc Biomedical Engineering | 2 years | 4-year Engineering or Science Bachelor’s, minimum B (3.0/4.0) | IELTS 6.5 |
| MSc Chemical Engineering (Thesis) | 2 years | 4-year Bachelor’s in Chemical, Materials, or Petroleum Engineering | IELTS 6.5 |
| Master of Nursing | 2 to 3 years | 4-year BSN with 3.3/4.0 and one year of nursing practice | IELTS 7.0 |
Planning note: The MSc Computer Science is thesis-only and small, so it looks selective early because department slots track supervisor capacity. Indian applicants often shift to the MEng Software Engineering course-based track when supervisor matching stalls.
Note: Program-specific entry requirements, fees, and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official University of Calgary page for your chosen program before applying.
UCalgary UG Programs and Class XII Cutoffs
Undergraduate admissions are handled centrally by the UCalgary Recruitment and Admissions Office, per the official UCalgary undergraduate requirements page. Competitive Class XII averages differ across faculties, and Nursing, Engineering, and Business run 80% or higher for Indian applicants in most recent cycles.
| Programme | Duration | Minimum Eligibility | English Req. Min. |
|---|---|---|---|
| BSc Computer Science | 4 years | Class XII with Mathematics, competitive average 80%+ | IELTS 6.5 |
| BSc Mechanical Engineering (Schulich) | 4 years | Class XII with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, competitive average 80% to 82% | IELTS 6.5 |
| Bachelor of Nursing (BN) | 4 years | Class XII with Biology and Chemistry, competitive average 85%+ | IELTS 7.0 |
| Bachelor of Commerce (BComm), Haskayne | 4 years | Class XII with Mathematics, competitive average 78% to 82% | IELTS 6.5 |
| BA (Arts and Humanities) | 4 years | Class XII with a minimum 65% aggregate | IELTS 6.5 |
Note: Schulich Engineering does not admit into a specific engineering major in year one. You apply to first-year Engineering and then select a major (Software, Mechanical, Chemical, and others) after completing common core courses.
UCalgary Haskayne MBA Admissions
The Haskayne School of Business runs three MBA formats. International applicants are accepted only into Fall (September) for the Full-time MBA and the Accelerated MBA. The Evening MBA and Executive MBA are structured around Alberta-based professionals and are not a realistic route for Indian applicants filing from India, per the Haskayne Full-time MBA admissions page.
Haskayne MBA Rounds and Deadlines
| Programme | Intake | Cycle Opens | International Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full-time MBA | Fall 2027 (Sept), Primary intake | 15 September 2026 | 1 March 2027 |
| Accelerated MBA | Fall 2027 (Sept) | 15 September 2026 | 1 May 2027 |
| Winter Accelerated MBA (Domestic-only) | Winter 2028 (Jan) | 15 June 2027 | Not applicable to Indian students |
Haskayne MBA Test Scores and Work Experience
Applicants need a GMAT of 550 or higher (or GMAT Focus Edition 515), or an equivalent GRE, together with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 in the last two years of undergraduate study. The GMAT is waived only for Canadian or US undergraduate business degrees at 3.0+ GPA, so nearly all Indian applicants sit the test. Full-time and Accelerated MBA candidates need a minimum two years of full-time professional work experience after graduation. English minimums are stricter than the graduate baseline at IELTS 7.0 (6.0 per band) or TOEFL iBT 97 (20 per section). Base tuition for Fall 2026 is CAD 98,079.22 per year (INR 68.07 Lakhs), which is a 20-month cost for the Full-time MBA, and Haskayne-specific awards for Indian students sit on the funding for Indian students page.
Insider note: Every MBA applicant is invited to a mandatory virtual video assessment after the file is submitted. It is not a live interview. It is a recorded, timed set of behavioural questions on the Kira platform, and it usually drops within two weeks of application receipt.
University of Calgary PhD Funding and Admissions
PhD admissions at UCalgary are supervisor-led, not committee-led. The strongest signal on a file is a confirmed supervisor match, not the raw GPA or English score. Applicants approach faculty by email with a CV, transcripts, and a short research pitch before filing the formal application, per the Faculty of Graduate Studies international page.
UCalgary PhD Funding for Indian Students
For any full-time PhD student starting on or after 1 January 2026, the Faculty of Graduate Studies guarantees a minimum funding package of CAD 33,205 per year (INR 23.05 Lakhs) for the first four years of the program. Individual programs frequently exceed this floor. The Cumming School of Medicine, for example, guarantees an international stipend range of CAD 36,000 to CAD 44,000 (INR 24.99 Lakhs to INR 30.54 Lakhs) for 2026-27. The funding is separate from tuition and is contingent on satisfactory academic standing.
UCalgary PhD Application Steps
Contact prospective supervisors 8 to 12 months before the deadline, secure a supervisor’s written support, then submit the formal application via cas.ucalgary.ca with the CV, transcripts, English score (or MOI waiver), research proposal, and two academic references. The application fee is CAD 145 (INR 10,065). Fall (September) is the default entry, with Winter (January) and Spring (May) accepted for some departments.
Planning note: The PhD funding guarantee is a floor, not a ceiling. A strong Indian applicant in Science or Medicine typically negotiates a top-up from Alberta Innovates or the Eyes High Doctoral Recruitment Scholarship, worth CAD 40,000 (INR 27.76 Lakhs) over four years above the base stipend.
UCalgary Application Process for Indian Students
International applicants file directly on the UCalgary application portal at cas.ucalgary.ca. Canada does not run a central UG platform for international students. ApplyAlberta is limited to Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, and Yukon residents. The steps below follow the official UCalgary how-to-apply page.
- Create a UCalgary eID at cas.ucalgary.ca between the cycle open date and the deadline for your intake and level.
- Select your program, campus, and intended start term. For Fall 2027 international UG, the window is 15 August 2026 to 1 March 2027.
- Pay the application fee of CAD 145 (INR 10,065) on the cas.ucalgary.ca portal by credit card. The fee is non-refundable.
- Upload unofficial transcripts, an English test score (or MOI waiver letter), your passport bio page, and program-specific documents by 15 March 2027.
- Track your file on the Student Centre and respond to any request for supplementary information within the stated window.
UCalgary Admission Decisions and Offer Timing
Undergraduate decisions for the Fall 2027 cycle roll out from December 2026 through April 2027. Most complete files receive a decision within eight to twelve weeks of the document deadline. Graduate decisions are program-set and can run from mid-February to late April for Fall entry. Offers arrive on the Student Centre with an acceptance deadline of one month by default. UCalgary allows a one-year deferral for medical or visa-related delays, subject to program approval. Conditional offers list the exact final documents and grade thresholds you must meet before registration opens.
Documents Required for UCalgary Admissions
UCalgary asks Indian applicants to upload unofficial scans at the application stage, then submit official documents through the Student Centre after an offer. Every document must be in English or accompanied by a certified translation, and academic records must come directly from the issuing institution or an approved evaluation service.
- Passport bio page: a clear colour scan of the photo page, valid for at least six months past the intended start date.
- Class XII marksheet and passing certificate: both required for UG, uploaded at application and submitted officially after offer.
- Bachelor’s degree certificate and consolidated transcript: required for all PG and MBA applicants, with per-semester marksheets.
- English test score report: IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, or Duolingo, sent electronically using UCalgary institution code 0813 for TOEFL and 139719 for IELTS.
- Statement of intent or personal statement: 500 to 1,000 words, program-specific, addressing research or career fit.
- Two academic references: submitted through the applicant portal reference-request system.
- CV or resume: mandatory for PG, MBA, and PhD, covering education, work, publications, and technical skills.
- MBA-specific: GMAT or GRE score report, minimum two years of work experience letters on company letterhead, and the Kira video assessment.
- Financial proof: Not needed at application. Required for the study permit after offer, showing CAD 20,635 in living costs plus one year of tuition.
University of Calgary Acceptance Rate
The University of Calgary does not publish an official institution-wide acceptance rate. Third-party estimates place it around 20 to 30%, based on the competitive-average patterns UCalgary publishes for each faculty. The number is a useful ceiling for planning but hides significant variation by faculty and citizenship. UCalgary’s global standing sits in the ranking band of QS World Rank 211 (2026).
UCalgary Acceptance Rate by Faculty
Haskayne MBA and Cumming Medicine are the tightest, with Full-time MBA offers going to well under one in three qualified files. Schulich Engineering and Nursing sit in the 30 to 40% band and reject on the Class XII competitive average faster than on English scores. Faculty of Arts and general Science admits most applicants who clear the 65% aggregate floor plus IELTS 6.5.
What Indian Applicants Should Read into the Rate
An estimated 20 to 30% is not a rejection warning for well-prepared Indian applicants. The competitive average is the real gate. A Class XII score at 78% with Mathematics gets you a fair look at Arts and Business. A score at 82% plus PCM opens Engineering. Anything at 85% plus Biology puts Nursing within realistic reach.
Insider note: Indian applicants who miss the competitive Nursing or Engineering average by 2 to 3 percentage points are often offered conditional admission via the Academic Communication Certificate or a pathway general BSc, then transfer laterally in year two.
Canada Student Visa for UCalgary Students
After you accept the UCalgary offer, the university issues a Letter of Acceptance, which is the single most important document for the Canadian study permit application. Indian applicants file under the general study permit stream or the Student Direct Stream (SDS), depending on document readiness. SDS is faster (about 20 calendar days) if you can front the tuition and a one-year Guaranteed Investment Certificate.
Applicants need a valid passport, the UCalgary Letter of Acceptance, proof of tuition payment for the first year, a CAD 20,635 GIC (about INR 14.32 Lakhs) held with a designated Canadian bank, an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 or higher in each band for SDS, a study permit application fee of CAD 150 (INR 10,412), biometrics at CAD 85 (INR 5,900), and an upfront medical examination from a panel physician. Alberta requires a Provincial Attestation Letter, which UCalgary issues automatically at the offer stage from January 2024 onward. On arrival, register with the International Student Services office for post-landing formalities and social insurance number support.
2026 update: The Canadian study permit intake cap is still in effect for 2026 and 2027. Alberta’s share is meeting demand, but processing runs slower than the SDS 20-day target for many Indian applicants. Apply for the permit within one week of accepting the offer.
Tips and Checklist for UCalgary Admissions
The following tips and steps are drawn from patterns Indian applicants ran through in the 2025 and 2026 UCalgary cycles. Use them as a working timeline and check each item against your program’s actual requirements.
- Book the IELTS Academic 10 to 14 weeks before the deadline because Delhi and Mumbai slots fill fast in the September-to-January window.
- Request the medium-of-instruction letter early: most Indian universities take 2 to 4 weeks to issue it on official letterhead.
- Target 4 to 6 weeks before the deadline for the portal upload: late December filings for the March deadline usually get faster verification than March filings.
- Line up referees by October 2026 for Fall 2027 PG: UCalgary sends reference requests through the applicant portal after submission, and slow referees are the top cause of missed windows.
- Approach PhD supervisors between June and October 2026 for a Fall 2027 start. A supervisor’s yes is more useful than a strong GRE score.
- Confirm the Provincial Attestation Letter in the offer packet before starting the study permit, since Alberta will not process a permit without it.
- Pay tuition and set up the GIC in the same week as accepting the offer, so the SDS clock starts on time.
- For Schulich Engineering, apply by December 2026 rather than March 2027 since the Engineering common first-year fills earlier than the deadline suggests.
UCalgary rewards early, complete files with faster decisions and better scholarship access. Indian applicants who plan the IELTS, MOI letter, and portal upload as a 10 to 12 week sequence rarely miss the Fall primary intake. Combine that with a supervisor conversation for PhD paths and an early Kira video for MBA files, and the process becomes predictable rather than stressful.
University of Calgary Admissions: Frequently Asked Questions
Ques. What is the University of Calgary application deadline for Indian students in the Fall 2027 intake?
Ans. International undergraduate applications for Fall 2027 close on 1 March 2027, with supporting documents due 15 March 2027. Most graduate programs run departmental deadlines between 1 December 2026 and 1 February 2027, and the Haskayne Full-time MBA international deadline is 1 March 2027.
Ques. Is IELTS mandatory for Indian applicants at UCalgary?
Ans. Not always. Graduate applicants with a Bachelor’s or Master’s of at least three years at an Indian institution where the language of instruction and examination is English can request an ELP waiver from the program director. Undergraduate applicants from Indian CBSE, ICSE, or state boards usually need the test, though IB, A-Level, or AP English at qualifying grades exempts them.
Ques. What Class XII percentage does an Indian student need for the University of Calgary?
Ans. The institutional floor is 65%. Competitive Class XII averages sit at 80% for Schulich Engineering, 78% to 82% for Haskayne BComm, and 85% for the Bachelor of Nursing. Faculty of Arts and general Science admits closer to the 65 to 70% band.
Ques. How much is the UCalgary application fee for Indian students?
Ans. The international application fee is CAD 145 (about INR 10,065). Any applicant with schooling outside Canada, including Indian Class XII or Bachelor’s records, pays the international rate. The fee is non-refundable and paid on cas.ucalgary.ca by credit card.
Ques. Does UCalgary accept 3-year Bachelor’s degrees from India for Master’s admission?
Ans. UCalgary prefers a 4-year Bachelor’s for direct Master’s entry. Applicants with a 3-year Indian Bachelor’s typically need a completed Master’s, a qualifying year, or exceptional academic and research profile to be considered. Some MEng course-based programs assess 3-year Bachelor’s on a case-by-case basis.
Ques. What is the minimum GPA and GMAT for Haskayne Full-time MBA at UCalgary?
Ans. The Haskayne Full-time MBA needs a GPA of 3.0/4.0 in the last two years of undergraduate study, a GMAT of 550 or higher (GMAT Focus Edition 515), IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL iBT 97, and at least two years of full-time professional work experience.
Ques. How long does UCalgary take to release an admission decision?
Ans. Most complete undergraduate files receive a decision within 8 to 12 weeks of the document deadline. Graduate decisions run from mid-February to late April for Fall entry. MBA decisions arrive faster, typically 3 to 5 weeks after the Kira video assessment.
Ques. Does UCalgary interview PG applicants from India?
Ans. Only some programs interview. The Haskayne MBA requires a mandatory recorded Kira video assessment, not a live interview. PhD applicants meet supervisors informally before applying. Most course-based MEng and MSc programs decide on file without an interview.
Ques. What documents do I upload during the UCalgary application?
Ans. At application, upload unofficial Class XII marksheet or Bachelor’s transcript, English test score or MOI letter, passport bio page, statement of intent, CV (for PG), and two referee contacts. Official documents are submitted through the Student Centre after the offer.
Ques. What is the PhD funding guarantee at UCalgary for international students?
Ans. Full-time international PhD students starting on or after 1 January 2026 are guaranteed a minimum funding package of CAD 33,205 per year (INR 23.05 Lakhs) for the first four years. Individual programs in Science, Engineering, and Medicine frequently exceed this floor.
Ques. Can I defer my UCalgary offer to a later intake?
Ans. UCalgary allows a one-year deferral for documented reasons such as visa delays or medical issues, subject to program approval. Requests are filed through the Student Centre before the acceptance deadline printed on the offer.

- One on one professional support, passionate well-read faculty

- Commuter campus makes socialising hard, minimal elective options for law

- Infrastructure was really good, sports related facilities were amazing. As long as you are a student, one can easily access swimming pool, badminton courts, squash, gymnasiums without any extra fee.
- Accommodation was easily available around the university
- University was easily accessible through city buses and transit
Dislikes
- The rent was pretty expensive and university authorities couldn't do anything about it
- There were very less career fairs and students didn't get any chance to interact with industry professionals
- There didn't seem to be any extra effort from university's side whether the students were able to secure a job after graduating. More than half of my batch didn't have a field job even after 1 year of graduation
Scholarship
- No, I didn't receive a scholarship during the course. The university didn't convey any details related to scholarship. I did some research but was not eligible for most of them.
- Some of my batchmates did apply for financial aid. Some were paid around 1000-5000 CAD for the course. Its not a very large amount and only a few students received it. Many of my close friends had applied for it but didn't receive anything.

- It’s an interesting place to be. Faculty members for the most part are fairly supportive and the team of students running clubs and organizations are successful at getting people engaged.
Dislikes
- The commuter campus aspect of the campus. There is often little engagement between faculties because of this and a difficult transit experience for those living on the other side of the city.
Overview
I chose this university as the program I’m in is brand new, providing a fresh look at the built environment as a whole, unlike other universities. University is a unique experience. It’s much different than schooling before. You don’t know everyone in your school let alone even your program, making it much for self sufficient than previous schooling. It’s a challenging experience but feels much more rewarding than high school, with assignments posing actual difficulty and high level thinking requirements.
Scholarship
I received the Rutherford Scholarship for achieving over an 80% average in all three years of high school.

- I like that my university is very student friendly and has a lot of resources available for international and domestic students such as writing support, literature review, financial support, food bank etc.
- Also, they have a very affordable tuition compared to other universities.
- They offer great international support services such as visa services.
Dislikes
- They do not have the best placement opportunities for students.
- They do not have a big infrastructure like many other bigger institutions in Canada.
- They do not pick a lot of international students for my program.
Overview
I chose this university because of following factors: - Affordable tuition fee plus a funding package of 10,000CAD per year (so I literally paid a few thousand dollars from pocket as tuition). - I also got several scholarships, research assistants and GANT opportunities that helped me fund my stay. - Calgary is an affordable city compared to other big cities in Canada. - My program has a social justice focus and it is known for its community focus - My supervisor and my research interest fit well. Overall, it's a positive experience for me with great tutelage, resources, student support services, international community etc.
Scholarship
International graduate tuition award - 3060 CAD/year (automatic) Graduate Assistantship Non-Teaching - 2216 CAD/ year (automatic) Travel award for conference - 500 CAD (applied for a conference I attended) Interdepartmental scholarship - 1000 CAD (no application, automatic) Graduate Award Competition - 7000 CAD (application with research proposal, CV, reference letters)

- Honestly, this was the top most university in Canada which accepted me. Funding policy for research students is much higher as compared to expenses. I choose the thesis based program because i like the research and i want to go in it. Moreover, most of the thesis/research based programs are fully funded, so i had not to worry about my finances
- I like maximum things here, but the best thing is the accessibility of the facilities, I can come to my grad office at any time to work whether its midnight or weekend.
Dislikes
- I think, these year university is accepting much more students, which basically effect the teacher to student ratio. There is not any on-campus recruitment drive, so think two times if your program need huge investments
Overview
I have good experience from the perspective of courses, research, infrastructure and funding. University have flexibility about the courses; there is a good research environment and infrastructure.
Scholarship
I got the Mitacs Globalink graduate fellowship, which is 15000$ for a year only. I am repeating that I am a research student, so this fellowship is in addition to the university's minimum funding, which is 25000$/year.
Overview

- I choose this university, as I wanted to do my masters, I completed my bachelor's in University too , and my main goal is to do masters and it's only to be done from a University.
- I like the campus of my university, which is big and so accessible, there is a bus route inside and in front of every unit we get a stop for different locations in the city. It has world class facility as well as every building has a place to have a sit and complete our professional acadamic work or anything as there are big sofa as well as tables to sit , the structure of the building is as good as any corporate offices in the Downtown, calgary.
Dislikes
- The University is too big and maps doesn't work here, so proper guidance should be there for the students to show the building name as well as map of the building or as we can see in the mall , we can have a big display in the entrance of the building to show the map
Overview
The overall experience here is very good not excellent, as the fees for international student are very high , but for the students who are Canadian they have to pay less fees.
Scholarship
No for Indian international student there are no scholarship plans.

Overview
Overall experience is very good. The university has all bases covered residence, academics, sports, recreation, and research( also no 1 university in research) and Calgary is the 4th best city to live in, in the world according to the global liveability index.
Scholarship

- The specialization is what attracted me to this University.
- The opportunities given to improve our skills. The student support here is great so far. Professors here have open-door policies, making it easier for us to seek guidance and clarification outside of class.
Dislikes
- The university has a strong co-operative education and internship program that allows students to gain practical work experience in their chosen fields but these are helpful mainly for those in research field. Despite all these as a student doing masters with course work, I don't have that much opportunities to gain some practical knowledge since these are limited for us.
Overview
I have had a great time since coming here. Don't expect that there will always be somebody to help you out because once you cross the border you are all on your own. Appreciate the little help you are getting. Please, sorry, thank you should not leave your lips.
Scholarship
I didn't receive any scholarship but I received bursary from my University.
