Ques. Which one should I go for, PGIMS Rohtak or AMU for an MBBS? My AIR is 4208 (Haryana domicile and UR).

Ans. PGIMS Rohtak is one of the top medical colleges in India and has better OPD, better infrastructure, better fests, and more SS seats than AMU. You will be surprised to know that it has a separate super-specialty building. However, on the flip side, PGIMS students have to serve a bond of 2 years after MBBS and also have a lesser stipend than AMU. It is easier to get general medicine in PG at AMU with AIR-7000 just after completing MBBS while in Haryana clinical PG seats are only available in PGIMS. So it will be quite difficult to get a general medicine seat in Haryana. Moreover, the academic environment at the UG level in JNMC is pretty good even if PGIMS is superior in OPD and infrastructure The fees charged by JNMC AMU are quite less in comparison to PGIMS Rohtak. Also, the institute does not have any caste-based reservation so the quality of the crowd is not compromised at all. Lastly, AMU is a completely ragging-free campus. So choose according to your priority.Read more

The best way to determine the right college for M.B.B.S. is to analyze the pros and cons of these colleges individually  KGMU Pros   Ikr of the highly ranked medical college ranked 45 out of 200 colleges in India in 2023 by NIRF.  It’s located in a more developed and bigger city and has a huge beautiful campus. Offers excellent clinical exposure It has a 50% state PG quota It receives huge funds from the state government. KGMU Cons It’s a State medical college It’s pay scale is quite less in comparison to Central colleges It has less number of pg seats The college has caste-based reservations. Students are required to serve the rural service bond JNMC AMU Pros It’s a central government institute so has better pay grades as compared to state colleges  There is a 50% internal reservation, with no caste boundaries  Internal are also eligible for external seats so if you get a good rank you can easily get a seat in the open category. It has a better UG-PG seat ratio You don’t have to serve any kind of service bond Better academic ambiance and clinical exposure. A completely ragging-free campus JNMC AMU Cons There is no state quota in the PG Does not have a very good reputation so receives less funding.  Aligarh is not a big city as compared to Lucknow. Ans. yes, PGIMS Rohtak (Pt. B.D. Sharma PGIMS) does have a bond for MBBS students — it's the standard Haryana state rural service bond . details of the bond: after completing MBBS, students must serve in rural health centers/government hospitals in Haryana for 1 year (some years the policy specifies 2 years — check current Haryana Medical Council rules as this has changed) penalty if you exit without completing: Rs.10-20 lakh (exact amount varies by year of admission cohort and current Haryana govt policy) your degree/registration certificate may be withheld until bond service is completed or penalty paid if you get a PG seat immediately after MBBS, the bond is typically deferred, not cancelled what's specific to PGIMS Rohtak that most answers miss — PGIMS is a Haryana state government institution, so the bond is a state-level obligation enforced by the Haryana Medical Council. unlike some states where enforcement is lax, Haryana is relatively strict. always verify the exact current terms with the PGIMS admission office or Haryana Medical Council before joining, as bond terms can change between admission years.Read more

Ans. PGIMS Rohtak is the best government medical college in Haryana. It is highly reputed. Not just Haryana, it is one of the top medical colleges in Northern India. In 2016, through 15% AIQ counseling, the cut-off rank stood at 1004 for UR (AIQR). In the state counseling, the cutoff score was 531 and the cutoff rank was 215, for UR.  PGIMS is a highly esteemed college and a good choice for an MBBS degree.Read more

Ques. Where should I go for pursuing MBBS PGIMS, Rohtak or NDMC Delhi (Hindu Rao Hospital) ?

Ans. Go for PGIMS Rohtak and dont even think twice. PGIMS Rohtak is one of the oldest and most reputed colleges in North India. It has some of the most learned and experienced faculty members many of whom are best-selling authors of medical textbooks.  NDMC is just an ordinary medical college not anywhere near the standards of PGIMS Rohtak. It's associated with the Hindurao Hospital which is quite well known in Delhi. However, the medical faculty and the standard of medical training are rumored to be substandard. Moreover, the MCI has canceled the Recognition of NDMC quite a few times already. So, I will not suggest you take the risk of joining this college just because it's located in Delhi.  Choose PGIMS Rohtak to stay on the safe side.Read more

Ans. Yes, there is a proper dress code for first-year M.B.B.S. students at PGIMS Rohtak. A typical boys' uniform at the institute included Black polished Action School Shoes and white socks White Trousers in Summer and Grey in Winter (loose) White plain shirt  Maroon tie with PGIMS logo Knee-length apron with full sleeves, name, course, roll number, batch with two hand pockets and one upper pocket with PGIMS logo Here is what the uniform looks like Additionally, students are expected to have a clean-shaved face and short hair. Read more
