Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a three-year Diploma in Engineering in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from an AICTE-approved institution.

A minimum aggregate of 45 percent marks in the diploma programme is required (40 percent for SC/ST/OBC Karnataka candidates).

A valid DCET (Diploma Common Entrance Test) score from Karnataka Examination Authority is required for the lateral entry quota.

Management quota applicants may apply directly through BIET; VTU lateral entry norms must be satisfied.

Admission Process

Appear in DCET (Diploma Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) and secure a valid rank.

Register for KEA lateral entry counselling at kea.kar.nic.in and choose BIET Davanagere in the college preference list.

Upon seat allotment, report to BIET with diploma mark sheets, transfer certificate, character certificate, and caste/income certificate (if applicable).
