I have chosen the ECE department because it is the most stable and developing department and I also love Electronics from childhood. I think this is one of the toughest department of Engineering. There were many papers we have to read. Here, the facilities are quite good, some are researchers and completed PhD from reputed IITs. The students and teacher ratio are good. We can ask any doubts any time, we have also their contact no. As well as WhatsApp no. The examination is done from time to time. Here we have supposed to give 2 Mid Semester exam, Viva (external comes from IIT-ISM Dhanbad) and End semester exam. 75% attendance is mandatory for giving the End Semester exam.
I have chosen information technology because the future is completely digital and there's a huge scope for IT engineers. Faculties are highly qualified and professional. Various new technologies of teaching were introduced like practical based education, industrial projects and many more. The midterm exam is held every months and question are completely practical based.
Chemical Engineering is one of the oldest branches in India. From starting onwards, I was very much fascinated by this branch. No of students in this branch is 91. The ratio of boys is to girls is 5:3. There are around 20 faculties in our branch. All faculties have done MTech and PhDs from reputed colleges. They have good teaching experience. Their teaching method is a little bit disappointing but overall good. Here exams are held timely. Here exams are Moderate to difficult.
The curriculum was initially affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University and now it is affiliated to Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi from 2018 which is completely upgraded and provides industrial exposure. The faculties are really well renowned who have studied from various IITs and NITs.
Course gives a vast knowledge of knowledge about the mechanical engineering with various subjects to be taught, we have been given industrial internship too. Faculties are good at their subjects and have enough to make you learn. Personally i feel R.k nayak of thermodynamics section is favourite of mine.
The syllabus is updated one year ago. The faculties are well educated as it is a state government organization every thing is under state government. Every branch gets industrial exposure once in their 4 years degree. Academics exam are held at the appointed time that is per semester, two mid semester exams are held per semester. There are different faculties for different subjects. There are workshops under which students can work to gain experience for real life world.
Our course structure is made as per latest conventions of AICTE, and every year changes are made as per the industrial needs. At BIT SINDRI we are having SIEMENS labs which includes PLC labs, ROBOTICS labs, AUTOMATION labs. Moreover we have microprocessor lab, high tension lab, power system lab and much more. Most of our professors are from IITs and NITs, so each one of them are excellent in their field and highly qualified.
The faculty members of our college are good. Faculty members in the mechanical branch are excellent and very helpful. Some professors from our college are highly qualified and have completed their Ph. D. degrees from various top IITs. Their notes are enough to score a very good result during the semester examination. The curriculum is properly updated according to the needs of students. And professors make us job-ready.
The curriculum nowdays is getting upgraded with modern application based subjects and labs too but being a government college the process is a bit on the slower side. Regarding industrial experience yes we had an industrial tour and also had vocational training in some of the best core industries.
The professors are very helpful for our regular classes and the latest updates. Professors are highly qualified and having so much knowledge about the course. The teaching quality of professors are very good, some teachers teach us through projectors and some professors teach us on the whiteboard. The course curriculum is relevant for us, the course curriculum ready us for industry well.
