Cambridge Institute of Technology was founded in the year 2001 at Tatisilwai, a place 16 km away from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The institute was started under the guidance of late Dr Bahadur Singh – A Social Reformer and Educationist and was promoted by the Cambridge Trust of India (Registered under Indian Trust Act). Cambridge Institute of Technology is affiliated to Ranchi University, Ranchi and Government of Jharkhand.

The institute offers 5 different undergraduate courses under B.Tech (4 years) and 3 postgraduate courses ( 2 years) from different domains of management and technology. The college also offers lateral entry (diploma-degree) options for all B.Tech courses which are for 2 years. The courses offered by the institute are B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA.

Cambridge Institute of Technology Admission

Admissions for UG courses in CIT is based on the marks obtained by the students in the in JCECEB conducted by the Jharkhand Govt. pr JEE Mains. Candidates who secure positive marks in JCECEB/ JEE Mains can apply for CIT Ranchi. University will publish a merit-list after JCECE counseling.

Admission to M.Tech. will be granted on the basis of GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). For MBA, CMAT will be required.

After filling the seats based on GATE or CMAT, based on the course, the remaining seats will be filled based on marks obtained by the undergraduate qualifying exams.

  • Students are required to download the application form available on the official website of CIT
  • All the mandatory fields have to be filled by the students as per the instructions provided.
  • Once form-filling is done, candidates will have to pay a registration fee of INR 1050. You may choose to pay by Debit/ Credit card or Net Banking.

  • Laboratory: The institute had a well-equipped research and development laboratory. It also has separate math and English language laboratories.

All students who are found guilty of ragging are strictly reprimanded and punished as per the guidelines.
