CIPET Chennai Faculty

The faculty at this central government institution are highly qualified, with many holding post-graduate degrees, PhDs, and possessing industry experience. They are approachable, knowledgeable, and supportive, helping students with projects and offering guidance in both academic and co-curricular activities. Faculty-student relationships are generally positive, with a mentor-mentee system in place. However, there are concerns about some faculty being less interactive and the faculty-to-student ratio being stretched. The teaching language is primarily English, accommodating students from outside Kerala.

Faculty are involved in cultural activities and assist in publishing student innovations. The college conducts two preliminary exams and a semester examination, with exam structures determined by Anna University. The institution has well-equipped labs and a good library, especially for plastic technology. Although faculty are very helpful, some inconsistencies in teaching regularity and interaction were noted.
