Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training is a private institute under Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Education and Research (MAEER). MANET Pune offers B.Tech. degree course in Marine Engineering and B.Sc. degree course in Nautical Science. It also offers B.Tech Lateral entry admission to the candidates.

MANET Pune B.Tech And B.Sc Admission 2024

Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training, Pune offers B.Tech degree in Marine Engineering and B.Sc in Nautical Science at the undergraduate level. 

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics(PCM) and; at least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII to be eligible to apply.
  • It is mandatory for the candidates to have a valid passport while takin admission into the program. 
  • Selection is done on the basis of MANET CET (PERA) ot IMU CET scores.
  • PERA CET is a 2 hour test with multiple-choice Questions covering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, General Knowledge and English grammar. For final selection, performance in 10+2 examination, medical test taken by Medical Practitioner and Personal Interview shall be considered.

B.Tech (Lateral) Marine Engineering Intermediate graduate with 60% marks in PCM, 50% in English, and IMU CET score. Eligible candidates need to clear the medical exam. Direct 

Key Points for Admission:

  • Total 200 seats are available for admission to B.Tech. Degree Course and 120 for B.Sc.
  • Lateral entry admission will be offered only if there is an availability of seats in B.Tech. Degree Course.
  • Only unmarried applicants are eligible to apply.
  • The Upper age limit for admission relaxed for SC/ST candidates by 5-year.
  • Candidates must be less than 25 years, as on August 1 of the year of admission.

MANET Pune Lateral Entry B.Tech Admission 2024

The institute also offers lateral entry in the second year of B.Tech Marine Engineering. Candidates must have passed a 3-year Diploma Course in Mechanical/ Marine/ Electrical/ Electronics with minimum aggregate marks of 55%. Students must have also completed Degree/ Diploma with at least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII. 

Selection is done on the basis of Merit in the qualifying examination. Candidates who will qualify will be called for the interview followed by the medical test at MANET campus.
