placements here in our college starts from 4th year or 7th sem the placements are started with some consultancy company and then onwards some IT companies are coming and then some of the finance and business related companies are came at the end some one or two companies are came.
This college did not have any placement so every time we had to run to other colleges seeking for placement and finally could not get any. We had to come out and get job off campus and it was recession then so it was really big mess. Mostly when some of friends got through on campus placement it was around 3-5LPA.
Nice not great actually but still it was decent because a candidate who scored well was 100% secured with job companies like infosys, tata consultancy, gears etc these companies had great impact on candidates college provided a boost for interview.
Nope my college doesn't provide internship but my college is linked with many companies who provide internship Of course it had cutoff marks for doing so.
As i have already mentioned above hardly one or two companies came during our course and also this companies were asking for high cut off percentage. So hardly 5-10 students were selected during the placements.
During our course not many companies visited our college so we had to do most of our internship from outside since belgaum is a industrial hub. There were many companies and industries outside our college.
Placement s not too great. TPO communication with students is not open-ended. Very few campus placements. Also, the packages offered are not that great. Students can attend off-campus drives. Even placement training is not conducted.
The placement is the Major issue in any of the institute before taking admission we also in search of the placement in our dream job but according to mine it was not good but medium as per the companies visited during our college . Basically this was the issue faced by everyone from mechanical engineering especially as the core companies are not coming so they have to go for IT company
