Ques. What should I choose between VIIT Pune (IT) and PVG (CS)?

● Top Answer By Meghdeepa Mondal on 11 Jan 21

Ans. VIIT should be the one to go for. First of all, it is an autonomous institute and has a good placement record in CS/IT branch and provides the best ROI, unlike PVG which is neither an autonomous institute nor has good placement. Both of them have minimum complimentary campus infrastructure.  VIIT falls under one of the emerging and best universities in Maharashtra i.e. Vishwakarma University. If we look at other parameters like Faculty, Placement, and Infrastructure, VIIT excels in all. It is improving at a good rate nowadays. Here is the table comparing the placements of VIIT Pune & PVG. Placement statistics for IT at VIIT Pune Academic year Placement per year Number of companies visited 2017-18 216 175(>10 LPA) 2018-19 336 291(>6 LPA) 2019-2020 295 150(<6 LPA) Placement statistics for CS at PVG  Academic year Placement in CS branch out of 100 students 2017-18 55 2018-19 81 2019-20 63 Looking in terms of branches, the course might be different in both colleges because the specializations are different. The placement statistics are also different while other parameters are industry project remains the same or common. Based on these factors, it is advisable to join VIIT for CS, IT, and E&TC rather than going for PVG.Read more

For the general open category, person fees are 115000, for Open EWS & OBC category fees would be 65441. For other categories fees would be quite low than their month's expense. Fees regarding TFWS candidate would be 15 k. Regarding the scholarship, there are several scholarships related to categories for me being open EWS I have gotten Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan shulk scholarship. For other category candidates, the scholarship would be different. For financial assistance, there are several governments as well as private scholarship schemes. For those guys who are interested in doing jobs, there are lots of opportunities. And jobs our seniors got are pretty good on campus placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Our college has really cheap fee structure as compared to others. So it is preferable over a fee structure criteria. In the electrical branch for the girl topper of 3rd year every year KRUTIKA SCHOLARSHIP is given with a cash prize of 50000 and job offer at ATLAS COPCO. Scholarships are available for economically backward class and caste students. For the electrical branch it is better you don't depend on college for placement, I mean it is not the too good package. One can hardly get a 3.5 - 4 lakh annual package.

"Genuine words by college student"

As the location of this College is pretty good. This makes this college to be located at the heart of the city, So you may get so many places equidistant. But the campus is quite small. Regarding admission to this college, you need to qualify either mht cet exam with good marks or jee main. As this college has quite low strength than others so you will get more possibility to placements. So I would like to prefer this college for IT aspirants. As teaching faculties are so friendly & supporting regardless sometimes strict. You can read this blog for your doubt to be cleared https://giramsinfotown.blogspot.com/2019/10/there-are-many-colleges-of-engineering.html

"Pune Vidhyarthi Gruha College of Engineering and technology"

College is located in shiv darshan, Parvati. Usually, the road is traffic prone area. Various stationery, grocery, medical shops are available near the college so it becomes easy for students. however, our college has Vastu bhandar from where u can purchase stationery, Xerox at a very cheap price. Though the campus is small it has lots of greenery. Our college is on the campus of mustang a school and junior college. The library is the most fascinating aspect for students containing study hall. There is a basketball ball court, the big ground where sports days are conducted. Various activities are also being organized by each department. College also consists of an auditorium hall. I heard about this college from one of my relatives, College was established in 1984 and has a lot of reputation in Pune. About the college, because the college is in the center of Pune city the college campus is not so big ( generally other Engineering College has) and also on the campus of the school there is Muktangan English School but overall college campus is Avg as far as infrastructure is a concern. The college has 6 branches CS, IT, E&TC, Mechanical, Electrical, Printing, out of which Printing Engineering department is the Autonomous and it is the only institute in India for Printing Engineering so has almost 90% placement. CSE and IT Engineering are the best branches of this c
