The pros of the college include its rich faculty, diverse clubs and student committees as well as accomplished alumni base. The institute was established in its early 80s which knits a good network of its alumni across the globe. I referred to the college website as well as few online portals including collegedunia. I preferred this college over my other converts due to its location-Mumbai-the Industrial hub of the country and its decent placements.

Accepts the scores of CAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT, and CMAT. Post clearing the cut-offs candidates are shortlisted for the GD-PI round. The pros of the institute are its uniqueness of offering MBA in various specializations, its campus, and peer group. The cons include its not-so-great ROI yielded in a few of the courses it offers. I got to know about the application process, placements, and reviews on other aspects from Collegedunia and Institute's official website.

KJ Somaiya is one of the best institutes in India. The faculty is very helpful. The building is very modern. It offers many specializations- Few of them have 120, 240, 60 and 30 seats. I preferred this college due to its location.
After we are done with our 4th trimester in Aug/Sept, the companies start coming for recruitment. The batch size of K J Somaiya is too large now (550+) so do not get into the trap of the highest and top 10, 20 percent placement thing. The average is around 9.5-10 LPA but then the fixed component is around 7.5 only. Not recommended at all after investing 20 lac rupees.
Location advantage as Mumbai is the hub of business and most of the reputed companies come here for the placements. Best campus and pedagogy in Mumbai. Best fit for Finance and Marketing. Sports facilities. Decent average package.
The placements are pretty decent with an average package of approx. 10.5 LPA. The highest package being offered is 28.5 LPA. Some of the top companies visit the campus across all the specialisations. The placements are 100 percent for students who are willing to get placed. I have received an offer for 13 LPA in a startup with a decent role being offered. Final placements start in the month of August. More than 150 companies visit the campus for final placements.
The college has a very good faculty and the overall diversity of students is great. The learning pedagogy makes it unique and experiential learning makes it one of a kind. Placements are great and hence the long term career aspects look great too. This might not be as great as the Top B-schools which are tier 1 but as a tier 2 college, it is really good. Also, Mumbai being the commercial capital of India gives a location advantage to this college. The admission process considers various competitive exam scores like CAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT & GMAT. Prior workex gives candidates a good advantage for the admissions. Also, performance in CAPI rounds is really important to get into the MBA program. I used the college social media platforms and shiksha.com and MBA360 websites to know about this program. Also, Pagalguy helped me in taking an informed decision.
Reputed companies like Jio Creative Labs, ITC, Venkys, Britannia, and many more visit the campus for offering placements. The average placements for the college are about 12 Lakhs per annum. I plan to take job from campus placement.
K J Somaiya has a large and beautiful campus. The college has a transparent admission process mentioned on the college website along with important dates. I preferred this college because the professors are experienced and discuss case studies to explain the subject.
The students become eligible from trim 5 for campus placements. The average package offered is around 10L. The approximate companies that visited the campus were 50-60 and the highest package received in the 2021 batch is 22 lacs p.a. 100% batch is placed for summers as well as for final placements and the role offered is also good.
The college location is its best thing and a huge reason for my preference. Also, this particular course of IMC is held in some top colleges of India like MICA and some IIM's. The faculty holds experience in the industry and in teaching for more than 15 years. The fees although being on a higher end are still being compensated by the activities and the placement they provide. Mainly banks dominate the process and the average Package goes up to 10 L per annum. The best thing about placements is that K J has umbrella placements so the candidate can sit for any role if he fits in the criteria of the company without any requirement of the programme he is in. While admission I preferred quora reviews and getting in touch with seniors on LinkedIn to know more about the college and the programmes
A number of reputed companies come for the campus placements - such as the HDFC, Dell, Abbott, Amazon, Bloomberg, Daimler, Nestle, Accenture, GEP Consulting, ITC, etc being some of the prominent recruiters. The highest package recorded is Rs. 29.75 lacs per annum, while the average of about 10 lacs for the final placements.
Located in the suburb of the financial capital of India, the university has shown an excellent placement record in the past. This year as well, with almost 75 percent of students placed in their final placements, and 91 percent students getting their Summer Internship offers, the highest package grabbed by the students is 30 lacs per annum, whereas the highest stipend offered in summer internship is of 80k per month, The average salary in the final placements is 10 lacs per annum. Talking of the curriculum, the university offers Masters in Business Administration in various disciplines - MBA Core, International Business, RM, Financial Services, etc. Almost every faculty member is a Ph.D. with corporate experience. Also, we have a lush green campus spread across 55 acres with academic buildings, hostel. The university also has study rooms that are open even at night and the night mess. Libraries are also there on the premises and there is a huge race track for the athletes to cherish.
