Placement Experience :

From the 4th trimester students are eligible for placements. There are a lot of companies that visited but it is not so dynamic. Personally, I don't feel the campus placements are so good. And I would suggest switching for better options for pursuing PGDM.

Remarks :

Firstly there is a minimum cut-off based on which the candidate will get a call if shortlisted for the GD. Followed by the GD there will be PI for the shortlisted students. GD/ PI are held at different location across India. So it is quite convenient for the candidates to attend the selection process. After the PI the shortlisted students will be informed of the admission process.

Remarks :

All because of placement record, good infrastructure, and previous academics, I decided to opt for PGDM in Marketing program. And the admission process of this college follows several steps like I filled to application form and paid the application fee. And the. Based on the marks obtained in undergraduate and CAT exam, I was called for final admission round which was GD and PI rounds. Post completion, the final merit list was prepared in which my scores and performance was considered. And lastly, I saw my name in the list and took admission by paying the fee.

Admission :

Yes, I had appeared in GD and PI rounds for the final selection to this college. Both the rounds were easy to clear. Only current affair should be good for GD round and questions in PI round is asked based on the previous academic record, participation in curricular activities, and some situation based question to judge the thinking capabilty or the presence of mind.

Remarks :

I decided to choose this Institute because it is one of the good colleges to study at and my education counselor also suggested me to apply here for better opportunities. Also, after doing research, I found that it has a pretty good placement records, curriculum, and faculty. After making up mind, I paid INR 2000 and submitted my application form online through the official website of the college.

Placement Experience :

My institute works very hard to provide us with good placement through Training and Placement activities that encourage us to opt for jobs that better suit our profile. Pre-Placement Talks are conducted during our final year, prior to the commencement of placement session every year. During the placement my batch, more than 80 companies participated in the final placement process out of which 48% were new recruiters and the salary offer went as high as INR 14.5 LPA.

Placement Experience :

College has a centre placement committee to look after the overall placement. However each department has its own placement committee. RM Programme has 100% placement since last many years. The organizations come for placement are mainly NGO,CSR and NBFC-MFI

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum at xiss is updated. Rural camps are the best part of this two-year course which gives the students a chance to get acquainted with the rural parts of India. It is practical exposure divided into 4 parts of ten days each which are intended to make the students survey the village with the traditional and modern mean, identify areas which need attention and prepare a project to address them. All of this is done in a participatory manner where the stick is handed to the villagers.

Remarks :

The college is very economical. The return on investment is great. Faculty support is also good. The infrastructure is limited which is compensated by the college being at a central location Aka heart of the city. The lalpur area is nearby where people come to try out the eateries and shop a little. Neuclus mall is just nearby which is the largest mall of Ranchi and a hotspot for hanging out of the young generation.

Ques. Which is better to opt for, XIMB RM or XISS Finance?

● Top Answer By Shreya Manna on 09 Jun 21

Ans. According to my friends studying at XIMB RM, the college is not called XIMB RM anymore. The last batch to pass from the college with this college name was the 2015-2017 batch. It has been renamed to Xavier School of Rural Management (XSRM) under the umbrella of Xavier University, Bhubaneshwar. This split has not had any impact on the branding.  If you are concerned with the quality of education and faculty, let me assure you that those have remained the same.  When it comes to rural management, you should know that it is more like a product differentiation from an actual MBA.  It is also often known as an MBA+ where you will get to explore and gain knowledge on subjects like sociology, development, planning in rural areas and many other fields. This will open up a number of opportunities for you to explore in the development sector which you perhaps would not be able to explore in other MBA courses. Categories XSRM Course Fee 13.8 lakh Highest CTC 13.2 - 17 LPA Average CTC 8-9 LPA Recruiting Companies Amul, Godrej Agrovet Limited, ITC Limited, Mapro Foods, ADM Agro Industries, Tolaram Group, etc. As far as XISS Finance is concerned, you should get in touch with a postgraduate student from that college to get to know more about it. As of now, I would suggest you go for XSRM.Read more
