The BM course of XLRI is among the top 5 courses in the country. It enables ample opportunities in all fields of management like strategy, operations, sales and marketing, and finance. The college has a healthy faculty to student ratio. The faculty is an even mixture of highly qualified professors with extensive corporate experience. The teaching method is a mixture of case-based, theoretical and real-life projects. Though the term started a little late, the exams were timely conducted and posed adequate challenges for the students.
PGDBM is the 'regular MBA' program that lets one learn about multiple aspects. I wanted to shift from Biological Sciences and Research to Business and hence this course best suits me. Faculties are well qualified with both teaching and industry experience and hold PhDs and other higher degrees. The online mode is totally different from the in-class experience and significant changes should have been made in teaching and pedagogy. XLRI has a trimester system and term exams take place roughly every 3 months. It is not difficult to pass in most courses due to various components such as quizzes, assignments etc but the overall academic workload is tough to keep pace with and requires a lot of work.
The faculty-student ratio is good. There are a lot of faculties available. The curriculum is wide and teaches a lot of subjects. A lot of Electives are also available. Study materials are of high quality (mostly from HBR) Since we have had only online classes till now, the true potential of the faculties have not been exposed to us. However, based on senior reviews and own experiences, it is safe to say most faculty members are highly learned and of a high pedigree. However they are also very demanding, and students need to be very serious about their studies. The level of competition is also very high, and with relative grading, it is important o study very hard.
The course curriculum is like any other B school, makes them develop a specific skill that shall help them in the job arena.
As my work experience was of Manager and I wanted to further enhance the managerial skill. Faculty Student Ratio - 1:10. Well Qualified and most of them have at least 10+ years of experience. Term exams were within every 6 months.
The brightest minds in the country are taught by the best and most popular professors of the country. Classroom teaching is great and teachers try to involve everyone in the discussion. Course curriculum is perfectly designed for Human Resource Management. Labour Laws are given a lot of importance here where XL has an edge over other B schools. Internship opportunities at reputed firms ensure that the students are industry ready going forward.
The course curriculum is well designed as there was some basics carried on from my BBA subjects. Exams are held twice a year in which if you score well it directly affects the CGPA of a students. Faculties are world class as most of them have cleared GATE or GRE or GMAT all of them have well knowledge about the subject
The course curriculum of our college pretty much covers all the aspects of the management course. It was a 15 months course duration spread over 7 terms, and the exams were conducted at the end of every semester. The course curriculum was designed for students from different academic backgrounds.
The fees for our college is kinda expensive, the grand total cost of the MBA course is ?20 Lakhs. But, I think the fee structure was also feasible in some way, as our college is one of the best business colleges and well facilitated.
The course curriculum of our college was good. PGDM ( General Management ) course was a course duration of 15 months ( 1 year and 3 months). They offered various specialization areas and I opted for Finance as my specialized area.
The fee structure is in line with the top IIMs and having a premium over and above the market rates. The fee for the current batch is 23 lacs for whole program. However, there has been no issues regarding expenditure as the banks line up to provide loans without any collateral.
The course curriculum is one of the best and also the toughest in the country. It is in line to the best IIMs that is IIM Ahemadabad and IIM Banglore. The course is divided into 6 trimester with an option to do 5th trimester in foreign university as student exchange. XLRI is renowned for its HRM program throughout the world.
