CMRIT Hyderabad Admission Dates 2027

Admissions for the 2026-27 session have concluded for all programmes. The 2027 intake cycle will be anchored by TS EAMCET 2027 for B.Tech state quota seats and GATE or TS PGECET for M.Tech. TS EAMCET 2027 registration is expected to open in early 2027.

The table below covers the entrance exam requirement for each programme. Lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech is available through TS ECET for diploma holders and B.Sc Mathematics graduates.

CMRIT Hyderabad Courses and Fees

CMRIT Hyderabad focuses on B.Tech in computing and electronics, supplemented by M.Tech and MBA at the postgraduate level. Total B.Tech annual intake is 1,140 seats across five specialisations.

B.Tech fees are INR 1,05,000 per year for CSE, ECE, AI-ML, and Data Science specialisations. The VLSI programme is INR 1,10,500 per year. Hostel accommodation is available on campus at INR 1,57,000 to INR 1,62,000 per year for boys and INR 1,47,000 to INR 1,52,000 per year for girls.

CMRIT Hyderabad Admission Process

CMRIT Hyderabad follows the Telangana state admission framework. All state quota seats (85% of intake) are allotted through DOST Telangana centralised counselling. There is no separate written test by the college for state quota seats.

B.Tech Admission

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. A valid TS EAMCET (TG EAPCET) rank is required for state quota (A-category) seats.

• State quota (A-category, 85% seats): rank-based allotment via DOST Telangana at dost.cgg.gov.in. TS EAMCET rank is the sole criterion.
• Management quota (B-category, 15% seats): direct application to CMRIT admissions office. Class 12 PCM merit is the evaluation basis. No TS EAMCET rank required.
• NRI quota (5% seats): NRI-sponsored candidates apply directly with proof of NRI sponsorship and Class 12 marks.
• Lateral entry to second year: via TS ECET rank for diploma holders or B.Sc Mathematics graduates with minimum 45%.

CSE and CSE AI-ML are the most competitive branches during DOST counselling. General Category candidates typically need a strong TS EAMCET rank for these branches. Management quota provides an alternate route for those without a rank or with a lower rank in the state counselling.

M.Tech and MBA Admission

M.Tech admission is through GATE or TS PGECET, with seats allotted via TGCHE Telangana PG counselling. MBA admission is through TS ICET via state counselling at icet.tgche.ac.in. Both PG programmes have limited intake (12 seats each for M.Tech, 120 seats for MBA) and no direct college-level entrance test.

CMRIT Hyderabad runs annual campus placement drives through a dedicated Training and Placement Cell.
