There is a college fest like aavahan which is a sports fest and there are several clubs in college too which give a boost to students for performing their best in college and enjoy.
Yes, thare are scholarship opportunities for many students of obc sc and st categories.
Faculties are good here, they are kind, helpful and way of teaching is very nice.

Dislikes

Worst part of college is that no placement are being done companies are not visiting college
Admission process is simple but you may face problems in some situations.
Only few students got hostels and hostels conditions are not good

Likes

The campus is very good and well maintained for students.
This college campus are very well. In campus are all new things do.

Dislikes

Library timing is till the college timing that is till 6 O'clock.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible to attend the campus, various companies like Wipro, Infosys, IBM, TCS, etc. come every year and students who belong to the IT and CSE branches. take almost 100 per cent placement.

Great and big campus with the area 255 acres
Experienced and helpful teachers with great knowledge.

Lack of efforts from the side of the students

Placement Experience:

In the final year of your graduation, you will be allowed to sit for placements on campus. The highest package was 52.5 LPA in the year 2021 on campus. On the other hand, off-campus, one student got 1.23 cr in India. The average package in technical branches is around 5.5 LPA. If you making up your mind about GATE then this college is superb. This year the placement rate is also good.

Life of nerd in College

Likes

I like my course, it is very interesting. And the college is very supportive if you want anything.
Extracurricular Activities are great. From sports to dance and music and gaming. Most of the things are supported.
Campus is very large with various decorations. And various labs are present in every department building.

Dislikes

Faculty starts the semester slow and at the end only covering the syllabus becomes important.
library management is very poor. Searching the book is very hectic

Placement Experience:

The alumni base of my college is very great and diverse from national to international. It is 75 years old college and was the first engineering college in central India so it is highly esteemed. I don't know much about placements but according to the senior, they are great.

About Jabalpur engineering college

Likes

My favourite thing in the college are Aavahan the annual sports festest
Hackathons which is conducted around 2-3 time a year
Environment of our campus it's very open and with a lot of greenry

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are quite well last year (2022) the highest package offered to a student of jec was 32LPA which was offered to a girl from the EC branch but I guess it was off-campus campus companies don't give such a high package but overall it is good.

Low Fees , Big Name in our city , Qualified teachers

Dislikes

Incompletion of syllabus , Free me time waste .....
Classes not happening many times........
Access to laboratories is limited ......

Course Curriculum Overview:

teachers are very knowledgeable in our dept. Exams are quite tough, but with some of our own efforts, we can pass easily. Also, there is not much time to study the whole syllabus so time management is must.

Best college for affordability and preparation of other exams.

Likes

Faculties are good and supportive, library is good.
Seniors are also supportive and there is nothing like ragging here.

Dislikes

Infrastructure could be better and there is an need of renewation.
Placements could be better. And college's website another headache thing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen the EC branch because I have an interest in it and the faculties of the EC branch are good, they are ready for any help and specially hod of the department is very strict. Exams happen on time and as expected from EC requires little hard work.

My Experiences about JEC

Likes

It is a government autonomous college so my degree's credibility would be high as compared to private colleges.
A very reputed and old college so all the things are stable and management is very well organised.
College is near to my hometown (katni). So I am able to do up-down daily. So it's very convenient for me.

Dislikes

Placements are not available for each core branch, only IT mass recruiters are hiring so no scope for students who wanna go into his core field.
Little scope for inventions, if you are very much interested in research field then this college is not for you.
In some branches most of the faculties are temporary.

Placement Experience:

I am not interested in placements. As I have decided to go for masters (MBA). So I am having a less idea of placement stats. But yeah, as I have heard our college provides an average placement of 4-5 lpa provided by the mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc.

The curriculum of our college is very good and easy. I choose btech in computer science and engineering because I want a software engineer. faculty : student ratio is 1:3. Exams are very easy and after 4 months exams are taken

Sports event is amazing all the branches compete with each other for the trophy

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Any opportunities are given to the students based on their qualifications. If students are not into placement then their plan is to qualify for GATE. It is a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for admission to the masters.
