IHM Mumbai is the oldest Hotel Management institute in India and is a prestigeous college. The faculties are also very experienced, helping and friendly. The campus is very small as compared to other colleges annd also the infrastructure is not very well maintained. The building has many cracks as it is very old. The campus is neat and clean and hygienic. This college offers one of the best placements and exposure in this field.

Remarks

Since you didn't get the hostel in the first year so the expenses for living will be very high as sky touching. The pg will take upto 13000per month for six sharing plus deposits and other charges. So i suggest you to take flat in sharing. Also for the night you have to arrange your dinner from yourself and morning breakfast also. Because college is going to provide you only the lunch

Remarks

The college was a great learning experience for me. It provided immense exposure and has changed my life for the better. The same has been the experience for most of my batchmates too. The only negatives being terrible mess food, and irrational hostel curfews which were at 9pm for girls, and 10pm for boys. The boys curfew was much more relaxed too, and at times they wouldn't even come back to the hostel However this same thing would have created a huge issue in the girls hostel.

Remarks

College is fantastic, people are not. Faculty is awesome, students are not. The management should be improved. Hostel life will be one hell of a ride for you. I'd say don't think twice before selecting IHM Mumbai as your college. It'll give you lots and lots of memories and will teach you about life which will be a lesson forever.
