IMNU Admission Dates 2027

IMNU MBA admissions for the 2027-29 batch proceed via CAT 2026. CAT 2026 registration closes on September 15, 2026 and the exam is scheduled on November 29, 2026. IMNU’s shortlist and application window for the 2027-29 batch are expected to open in late 2026, following CAT result declaration.

The BBA-MBA Integrated programme (2027-32 batch) uses IPMAT as the qualifying examination. IPMAT 2027 registration is tentatively expected from February 2027, with the exam in May 2027.

IMNU Courses and Fees

IMNU offers four MBA tracks, an undergraduate BBA Hons., two 5-year integrated programmes, a PhD in Management, and three executive diploma programmes. All fee data reflects the 2026-27 approved structure.

The MBA Global Management programme carries the highest fee among the two-year programmes at INR 20,32,000, reflecting the dual-degree structure with a US partner university. There is no management quota at IMNU - all seats are merit-based through CAT or GMAT.

IMNU Admission Process

IMNU follows a multi-stage composite selection process for MBA admissions. There is no management quota. Of the 300 MBA seats, 75 seats are reserved for Gujarat domicile candidates, and 45 seats are available under the NRI Sponsored category.

MBA / MBA HRM / MBA Global Management / MBA Family Business

• Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Final-year students may apply provisionally.
• Qualifying exam: Valid CAT score is mandatory for Indian applicants. NRI, OCI, PIO, and Foreign National candidates may use GMAT scores from July 2024 onwards.
• Stage 1 - Shortlisting: Based on CAT percentile. IMNU has historically shortlisted candidates above the 70 to 75 percentile range for GD/PI calls, with functional cutoffs varying by category.
• Stage 2 - Selection process: Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and Theme Development and Presentation (TDP). The TDP round is unique to IMNU - candidates develop and present a theme within a short time, testing structured thinking and communication.
• Stage 3 - Composite score: Final merit ranking based on CAT score, academic record, work experience, and performance in Stage 2.

IMNU application fee is INR 1,500 for General and Gujarat State categories and INR 4,500 for the NRI category. Supernumerary seats of 15% over sanctioned intake are available - 5% for candidates with parents working in Gulf or South-East Asia, and 10% for Foreign Nationals, OCI, and PIO card holders.

BBA Hons. and Integrated Programmes

• BBA Hons. eligibility: Class 12 from any stream with minimum 60%. Admission via IMNU’s own process. Applicants may also use IPMAT scores.
• Integrated BBA and MBA (5 years): Valid IPMAT score required. Eligible candidates who clear IPMAT shortlisting proceed to IMNU’s interview round.
• Integrated B.Tech CSE and MBA (5 years): Eligible through JEE Main score. Selection based on JEE Main percentile and IMNU criteria.

IMNU Placements

In the 2024-25 placement season, the IMNU MBA batch recorded an average package of INR 11.10 LPA and a median of INR 10.61 LPA. The highest offer stood at INR 70 LPA. The top-50 students averaged INR 17.08 LPA, and the top-100 averaged INR 14.74 LPA. Over 150 companies participated in the placement process, reflecting an increase of 83% from the previous cycle.

Summer internship data from the 2024-26 batch shows a highest stipend of INR 60,000 per month and an average of INR 20,000 per month. Strong internship performance is a pathway to pre-placement offers (PPOs), which the IMNU placement cell actively facilitates.

Confirmed recruiters include Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, BNY Mellon, Arcesium, Bank of America in the BFSI and fintech segment, and Havells, Hero, Atul, Capgemini, Wipro, Darwinbox in manufacturing, technology, and consulting. The Ahmedabad location attracts Gujarat-headquartered corporate groups as consistent recruiters, complementing the national recruiter base.

IMNU Rankings

IMNU holds a NIRF Management rank of 53 in 2025, placing it among the top B-schools in western India. The institute carries NBA accreditation for the MBA programme and SAQS accreditation (valid till 2029), the only regional management-school accreditation body recognised by the SAARC framework.

IMNU is also accredited with NAAC Grade A+ at the university level. The institute is one of the few B-schools outside the IIM system in western India to hold concurrent NAAC A+, NBA, and SAQS accreditations.

Candidates offered the MBA Global Management programme may also be eligible for financial aid from the US partner university, subject to the partner institution’s own scholarship policies.

IMNU Campus and Infrastructure

IMNU operates within the Nirma University campus on S.G. Highway (Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway), Ahmedabad - 382 481. The campus spans 115 acres and is a fully residential setup. The institute’s building houses tiered classrooms, case-study rooms, a behaviour lab, a trading room for finance courses, and an air-conditioned auditorium used for corporate interaction events.

Hostel accommodation is available on campus for both male and female students. The campus has a cafeteria, sports grounds, a gymnasium, and on-campus healthcare. The S.G. Aspirants scoring in the 85 to 95 percentile range in CAT frequently compare IMNU alongside Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM Pune) and MICA Ahmedabad - all three are NIRF-ranked non-IIM B-schools with comparable fee levels and two-year full-time MBA programmes.

SIBM Pune leads on NIRF rank and reported placement figures but carries a higher fee. MICA Ahmedabad has a niche in marketing and communications roles and attracts brand and media recruiters not commonly seen at generalist B-schools. IMNU offers the lowest fee among the three for a comparable two-year residential MBA, with the added benefit of the Ahmedabad corporate ecosystem. Candidates seeking banking, finance, and manufacturing roles tend to find IMNU’s recruiter profile a strong match.
