The college starts its admission process post-ISC results with three merit lists for seat allocation. It features a strong faculty with 4-5 professors per department, including a Head of Department, who are experienced and adopt a gradual, concept-building teaching approach. Despite their dedication, there is a perception of more effort being placed into private tuitions than regular classes. The curriculum includes anti-ragging measures and consists of various papers across two semesters annually.
The government college offers affordable annual fees of about 3,000 to 4,000 INR, significantly less than private institutions that charge around 60,000 INR. The placement cell, established in 2004, has a good record, with over 60% of students securing jobs in the 2023-24 placements. Companies like TCS, Amazon, and British Telecom participated, offering salary packages between 2-3 lakhs per annum. Some students opt for further studies rather than placements. Internships lasting 2-6 weeks are available with companies like Praxis and Bajaj Finserv.
Scholarships based on economic status, academic performance, and other criteria are offered, with full fee waivers for economically disadvantaged students. Admission fees range from 12,000 to 13,000 INR, with total course fees around 33,000 INR, varying for different streams. Hostel facilities are available at 50,000 to 55,000 INR annually. Government scholarships and schemes are accessible, and as a Christian minority college, it offers additional benefits to Christian students.
