PSG Institute of Management Admission Dates 2027

PSGIM admissions for the 2027-29 MBA batch will open in early 2027, primarily anchored by CAT 2026 scores (exam: November 2026) and TANCET 2027 (February to March 2027). The institute also accepts XAT, MAT, CMAT, and GMAT scores for MBA admission. GD and PI rounds are conducted in February to April 2027.

The Integrated MBA (IMBA) for the 2027 batch accepts students after 10+2 and has a separate admission process through TANCET UG or an institutional entrance test. The table below shows the exam accepted across all programmes.

PSG Institute of Management Courses and Fees

PSGIM offers 2 MBA specialisation tracks, a 5-year Integrated MBA, research programmes, and doctoral studies. The 2-year MBA costs INR 11.50 Lakhs for the entire programme. All fees shown are for the complete duration of the programme.

The MBA programme at PSGIM is offered with four specialisation tracks: Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Decision Science and Analytics. Students may choose dual specialisations in the second year. The MBA (Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship) is a differentiated offering aligned with ESG and sustainability-focused careers.

PSG Institute of Management Admission Process

MBA admission at PSGIM uses a composite score combining national entrance exam percentile, academic record, work experience, and GD/PI performance. The institute accepts multiple entrance exams, making it accessible to a wider candidate pool.

MBA Programme

• Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university with minimum 50% aggregate marks
• Entrance Exams Accepted: CAT, XAT, TANCET, MAT, CMAT, or GMAT. All are valid. TANCET is the most popular route for Tamil Nadu candidates.
• Stage 1: Shortlisting based on entrance exam score and academic profile
• Stage 2: Group Discussion (GD) at PSGIM campus
• Stage 3: Personal Interview (PI) by faculty panel
• Composite Score: Entrance exam score, GD, PI, graduation marks, and work experience weighted together for final merit list

Integrated MBA (IMBA)

• Eligibility: 10+2 from a recognised board with minimum 60% aggregate marks
• Entrance Exam: TANCET UG or institutional entrance test, followed by GD and PI
• Structure: First three years cover BBA-level curriculum. Years 4 and 5 deliver the MBA curriculum, culminating in an MBA degree from Anna University

Research and Doctoral Programmes

• MS Eligibility: First-class graduation in a related discipline. Research aptitude assessed through statement of purpose and interview
• Ph.D. Eligibility: Postgraduate degree with 55% marks. Valid UGC-NET score preferred. Selection through PSGIM Research Entrance Test and interview.

PSG Institute of Management Placements

The 2025 placement season at PSGIM recorded a 98.6% placement rate, with 207 of 210 opt-in students placed. The highest offer was INR 16.42 LPA and the median package was INR 8.5 LPA. 54+ companies participated in the placement drive.

Recruiters span consulting, BFSI, FMCG, IT services, logistics, and manufacturing sectors. The Coimbatore industrial belt and the PSG group’s alumni network in the manufacturing sector provide consistent demand for PSGIM graduates.

PSGIM’s Professional Empowerment Program (PEP) runs across three semesters before placements, covering skill assessments, soft skills training, mock interviews, and domain-specific preparation. Pre-placement offers are common from return summer internship employers.

PSG Institute of Management Campus and Infrastructure

PSGIM is housed in an independent twin-tower five-storey building at the PSG campus on Avinashi Road, Peelamedu, Coimbatore. The campus includes air-conditioned seminar halls, a management library with digital databases, computer labs, an innovation centre, and a video-conferencing facility for virtual corporate interactions.

The location in Peelamedu gives students proximity to Coimbatore’s industrial belt, facilitating industry visits, live project assignments, and practitioner-led sessions. Faculty from PSG College of Technology and industry practitioners contribute to the integrated learning environment.

PSGIM does not have a dedicated hostel. Students typically take accommodation in the areas around the campus in Peelamedu and Avinashi Road, where a range of private hostel and PG options are available near the PSG group campus cluster.

PSGIM, Amrita School of Business (Coimbatore campus), and KCT Business School (Coimbatore) are three MBA institutes in Coimbatore serving aspirants who qualify through CAT, TANCET, or MAT. All three are AICTE-approved, affiliated to Anna University, and offer 2-year PGDM or MBA programmes.
