Counselling Process

Delhi University 2026 Counselling Process

  • The candidates can check the allotment list on either admission portal or on the applicant's login.
  • Candidates should log in on the admission portal by entering their registered email ID and password.
  • The allotted course and college will be displayed on the screen.
  • In case, the candidate is satisfied with the allotted course and college and wish to go ahead with them only, they need to click 'apply for admission' button. 
  • The documents uploaded by the candidates will be verified by the college and approve their admission, if found eligible
  • In case of any queries, the college authorities will contact the candidate over email or phone. 
  • Once the Principal of the college approves the admission, the candidates are required to submit the college fee within the stipulated time.
  • In case, the Candidates are already admitted in any course at Delhi University, they are required to cancel their admission in such course and pay the cancellation fee.
  • Admitted Candidates are required to physically present with their original documents for verification at the time of commencement of classes

Note 1: Once the candidate choose 'apply for admission', it will lead to cancellation of admission, in case the candidate was previously admitted to another Institute.

Counselling Ranking

Delhi University 2026 Counselling Ranking for Admissions

  • Delhi University 2026 Ranking is prepared for each UG and PG course. 
  • This ranking is decided on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in CUET UG 2026 and CUET PG 2026
  • For undergraduate courses like BSc (PE,HE&S), the mean marks scored in the written test and the trails are taken into consideration for determining the ranking.

Delhi University 2026 Counselling Allotment of Courses & Colleges

  • Seats for all the entrance based courses are allotted centrally and will be displayed on the admission portal, once released. 
  • For B.Ed, seats will be allotted to candidates on the basis of their ranks, their preference and the availability of seats.

  • All the candidates who are allotted seats in the colleges need to confirm their admission. 
  • They can do so by selecting and confirming the college and course on the admission portal. 
  • An admission form will be opened and the candidates need to fill them and take its printout.

Choice of Re-Allotment in Delhi University 2026 Counselling

After submitting the fees, candidates are required to choose any one of the below-mentioned options –

  • Whether you want a seat higher in your preference order, in case it is available
  • Whether you are satisfied with the allotted seat and wish to continue with the same and do not want another allotment of seat.

Delhi University 2026 Subsequent Rounds of Seat Allotment

After each seat allotment round, the available seats will be allotted to the candidates who had opted for re-allotment. This procedure will be followed if candidates are not allotted a seat in accordance to their preferences.

  • If any seat, higher in the candidates’ preference, is available, it will be allotted to them and the already allotted seat will be cancelled.
  • The Candidates who are allotted seats are required to fill the admission form, get their documents verified, pay the required fees and appear for re-allotment.

  • Candidates who have already been allotted a seat in their first preference.
  • Candidates who have already opted out of the re-allotment of the seat.

Procedure of Spot

Procedure of Spot Admission in Delhi University 2026

  • The admission portal displays the total number of seats available in each college after admissions. In spot allotment, candidates are called in accordance to their ranks. 
  • In the first round of spot allotment, those candidates who had been offered admissions but still opted for re-allotment will be considered. Also, those candidates who are not allotted a seat but they have a rank higher than the rank of last admitted candidates in any category will also be eligible. They will be called in accordance to their rank and will be asked to choose a seat from the available ones and then the allotment will be done accordingly.
  • In the second round of Counselling, those candidates who have a rank higher than the previously admitted candidates and who failed to take admission will be considered.
  • In the subsequent rounds, those candidates who are not allotted seats will be called for Delhi University 2026 counselling as per their ranks.
