AIIMS New Delhi has opened registration for the Institutes of National Importance Super Specialty (INI SS) January 2027 session on September 23, 2026. Candidates can register on the official exam portal, aiimsexams.ac.in till October 9, 2026.
The exam serves as the sole entrance gateway for DM and MCh super specialty seats at AIIMS New Delhi and other participating Institutes of National Importance, including JIPMER Puducherry, PGIMER Chandigarh, NIMHANS Bengaluru, and SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram.

- Registration: Online registration for the INI SS January 2027 session started on September 23, 2026. The last date to register online is October 9, 2026 (Friday).
- Application Status: Applicants can check their application status and the reason for rejection, if any, through the Registration Status section of My Page after logging in. The status will be available from October 15, 2026 (Thursday).
- No Objection/Sponsorship Certificate: The last date for the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, to forward the approval regarding “No Objection” for Foreign National candidates and for the sponsorship certificate for candidates applying under sponsored seats is October 15, 2026.
- Admit Card: Finalization of examination centres and allotment of roll numbers/admit cards on the website is scheduled for October 20, 2026 (Tuesday).
- Exam Date: The INI SS entrance examination for the January 2027 session will be conducted in online CBT mode on October 24, 2026 (Saturday).
- Result: The expected date of declaration of the result is yet to be announced. The Stage-I result for AIIMS and PGIMER applicants and the final result dates are also to be announced.
- Eligibility Deadline: Candidates must fulfil the eligibility requirements by January 1, 2027. Sponsored category candidates applying at PGIMER, Chandigarh, must also meet the specified additional eligibility and service requirements.
- Application Fee: The application fee is ₹4,000 plus applicable transaction charges for all applicants. PwBD candidates are exempted from the application fee.

INI SS Registration: How to Apply?
To apply for INI SS 2025 July Session, students must go through a 7-step registration process. Students must visit the official website of INI SS at aiimsexams.ac.in, click on “INI SS July 2025 Registration” and follow the below steps to register and apply for INI SS 2025. Before filling out the registration form, students must read all the instructions and then click on the “Proceed” tab.
Step 1: Select the course, and fill in the details including Name, DOB, Address, Community, Gender, Contact No. etc. After filling in all the details, click on the “Register” tab to receive Login Credentials through SMS and Email. Students must log in using the login credentials and change their passwords.
Step 2: After that, students must fill in the academic details like UG Examination, Internship, Qualifying Examination, Medical Registration details, etc.
Step 3: Students also need to fill out the experience details such as govt. hospital/institute or general practice, duration, position held, etc.
Step 4: Students must then select the examination center according to their convenience.
Step 5: Make the INI SS 2025 fee payment as prescribed by the concerned authority.
