    PGIMER Result of MD/ MS programs for July 2020 session will be declared on June 2020. Candidates can access the result from the official website of PGIMER 2020 – pgimer.edu.in by logging in with their roll number and date of birth. 

    • Students who have successfully cleared the entrance examination will be called for PGIMER 2020 counselling. 
    • PGIMER 2020 counselling will be held in offline mode from June 16, 2020 onwards.
    • The qualifying marks in PGIMER is 55% for General, 50% for SC/ ST/ OBS and 45% for Bhutanese students. 

    • Nine category-wise merit lists will be prepared on the basis of percentile scored in PGIMER 2020 entrance exam.

    • PGIMER Results for Fellowships/ Ph.D./ M.Sc/ M.Sc MLT and DM/ M.Ch/ MHA courses will be released on June 16 and 23, 2020 respectively.

    PGIMER (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research) is a university level entrance examination conducted twice a year. After clearing the entrance examination, students can get admission in various postgraduate courses like MD, MS, M.Ch, M.Sc, M.Sc (MLT), MHA etc. Students will get admission on the basis of their scores in the entrance exam.

    How to check PGIMER 2020 Result?

    Students can check their PGIMER 2020 result via online mode on the official website. The result for PGIMER July Session will be declared on June 09, 2020. The result will be declared by the PGIMER, Chandigarh.

    By following the below steps students can check their PGIMER 2020 Result:

    • Visit the official website of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh.
    • On the bottom of the home page, go to the “Information for Candidates” section.
    • Now select the desired result link
    • Students will be redirected to institution result portal
    • Enter the Roll Number and Date of Birth
    • Click on the search button

    After clicking on the button, the result will be displayed on the screen as pdf format. Students can download and take the printout of the result for future reference.


    Details on PGIMER 2020 Score Card

    The marks achieved by the candidates along with the percentile are given on PGIMER 2020 scorecard. Candidates should know that scorecard is a necessary document and should be presented during counselling and other procedures. Applicants must check the scorecard before downloading it.

    PGIMER 2020 Merit List

    PGIMER 2020 Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance examination. Students will be ranked in the merit list on the basis of their scores. PGIMER 2020 merit list will be released after the declaration of the results. The institute will be responsible for preparing the merit list.

    Following is the tie-breaking criteria while preparing PGIMER 2020 merit list:

    • Candidate who has made more attempts in passing qualifying exam will rank junior to a candidate who has made lesser attempts.
    • If the attempts made in qualifying the exam is also same, then candidate with more marks in the examination will be ranked higher than candidate who has obtained lesser marks.
    • If the passing marks secured by the candidate in the examination are also same, then candidate’s senior in age shall rank higher than the candidate who has junior in age.

    PGIMER 2020 Cut Off

    PGIMER 2020 Cut off is the minimum qualifying marks a student has to obtain in order to qualify the examination. On the basis of cut off marks, students can estimate whether they can qualify the exam or not.

    On the basis of following factors PGIMER 2020 cut off will be decided:

    • Total numbers of candidates appear for the exam
    • The difficulty level of the paper
    • No. of candidates passed the exam
    • Previous year cut off marks
    • Average scores obtained by the candidate in the entrance test.

    PGIMER 2020 Counselling

    Students who have successfully cleared PGIMER 2020 entrance examination will be called for counselling. Students must be physically present at the time of PGIMER 2020 counselling otherwise the seat will be given to other candidates. For MD/ MS course, counselling will begin from June 16, 2020.

    Counselling will be held through offline mode only. It will take place in three rounds. Seats will be distributed on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam. Students must bring the following list of documents at the time of counselling for verification.

    2. 10th certificate or mark sheet
    3. 12th certificate or mark sheet
    4. Migration certificate
    5. Character certificate
    6. Certificate of Internship
    7. PGIMER Admit Card
    8. Date of Birth certificate
    9. Caste certificate
    10. Rural certificate
    11. 3 copies of latest passport size photograph
