The Otto von Guericke University is one of the youngest universities in Germany. The importance given to research opportunities and the practical application of business-related topics are the highlights of teaching here. The key areas of research here are the neurosciences, dynamic systems in process engineering and biomedicine, and automotive/digital engineering. In 2011, the University received the E-Quality Label for ERASMUS Mobility from the National ERASMUS Agency of Germany. The top programs offered by the university are: Clinical Medicine, Engineering and Neuroscience and Behavior. Only the courses listed under study programs in English have English as the medium of instruction. It includes both bachelor’s and master’s courses in various subjects.
The university does not provide any sort of on-campus accommodation. Usually, students go for a shared room. Students also stay in residence halls which are located around the town. Single and double rooms are available which are fully furnished and equipped with dishes and kitchen utensils.

Those enrolled on a first, second or complementary course of studies, on a master's degree programs or a part-time in-service/dual degree course.
Those who are enrolled at Otto von Guericke University at the start of the approval period.
As per the German law governing, scholarship schemes (StipG) are enrolled at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg for at least two more semesters within the standard course duration for a course (including consecutive Master's degree).
