AILET 2027 Notification Released at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in; Registration to Begin on August 7

National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) has released the AILET 2027 notification. AILET stands for the All India Law Entrance Test. The notification is available on the official website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.

The online registration process will begin on August 7, 2026. The entrance examination will be conducted on December 13, 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM.

AILET is a national-level offline entrance examination conducted for admission to law programmes offered by NLU Delhi. The university conducts AILET for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral admissions.

AILET 2027 Key Dates

Programmes Offered Through AILET 2027

NLU Delhi conducts AILET for admission to three law programmes. The examination is the sole admission route to the university’s law courses for the 2027–28 academic session.

• Five-Year BA LLB (Hons) for candidates who have completed Class 12
• One-Year LLM for law graduates
• PhD in Law for research aspirants

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

The AILET 2027 eligibility criteria depend on the programme selected by the candidate. Applicants must meet the qualifying marks prescribed by NLU Delhi.

For the Five-Year BA LLB (Hons) programme, candidates must have passed Class 12.

• General category: Minimum 45% aggregate marks
• OBC category: Minimum 42% aggregate marks
• SC, ST, and PwD categories: Minimum 40% aggregate marks
• Foreign nationals: Minimum 65% aggregate marks in Class 12

For the LLM programme, candidates must hold an LLB degree.

For the PhD in Law programme, candidates must hold a master’s degree in law.

AILET 2027 Exam Pattern

AILET 2027 will be a two-hour offline entrance examination. The question paper will contain objective-type multiple-choice questions. Candidates must note that there will be negative marking for incorrect answers.

The BA LLB question paper will cover the following five sections:

• English
• Legal Reasoning
• Logical Reasoning
• Current Affairs
• Quantitative Techniques

The LLM question paper will primarily focus on core law subjects.

How to Apply for AILET 2027?

The AILET 2027 application form will be released on August 7, 2026. Candidates must submit their applications through the official NLU Delhi admission portal.

First, visit nationallawuniversitydelhi.in and open the AILET 2027 admissions link. Register using a valid email address and mobile number.

After registration, log in and complete the application form by entering the required personal details. Add academic information, including the Class 12 board, passing year, and marks.

Upload a scanned copy of the candidate’s photograph, signature, and required documents. Finally, pay the AILET 2027 application fee online through the approved payment methods and submit the application form.

2. Keep Class 12 marksheet, photograph, and signature ready in scanned form.
