Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) is an autonomous body located in Bihar, India that follows the pattern of AIIMS, New Delhi. IGIMS follows a semester-based examination approach. The odd semester exams begin in the month of July and results are published in the month of August. Exams for Even semester are conducted in the month of January and results for even semester are declared in February. Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) Bihar offers various UG and PG courses in the fields of medicine and health and medical research. 

Admission to all the MBBS program offered by the institute is granted on the basis of NEET Results while admissions to MD and MS courses are done through PGMAC (Post Graduate Medical Admission Counseling) of BCECE (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board).

​​IGIMS Semester Exam Result 2020

The odd semester examinations are conducted in January while even semester exams are conducted in July every year. The results for odd semester examinations are usually declared within a month after the exam is conducted, i.e., in the 1st week of February. Similarly, even semester exam results are declared in the 1st week of August in each academic session.

The announcement of the results is on the official website of IGIMS. The steps to check the results are as follows:

  1. Go to the official website of IGIMS
  2. Click on the link provided for Examination Results
  3. A list will appear on your computer screen with university roll numbers of passed students
  4. Look for your roll number in the list carefully
  5. Save/print the result for future reference

IGIMS Exam Answer Scripts 2020

The examination cell of IGIMS preserves the answer scripts of the candidates till six months after the declaration of results. Candidates must note that any request for information regarding any examination shall be fulfilled within the span of time only. Those who wish to get the exam answer scripts must follow the format prescribed by the university with requisite fee. Any requests after the prescribed time will not be entertained at all.
