COMEDK has released the Round 2 counselling 2026 schedule for KKR category seats. Choice filling runs from August 5 to August 6. Seat allotment and fee payment start on August 7.
The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has released the Round 2 counselling 2026 schedule. The full timeline is available on the official website at comedk.org. This round has been announced only for Kalyana Karnataka Region (KKR) category reserved seats.
The KKR category was earlier called the Hyderabad Karnataka Region (HKR). It covers seven districts in north Karnataka. General Merit candidates will not take part in this round.
COMEDK Round 2 2026 Key Dates for KKR Category
The Round 2 process begins with choice filling on August 5. Physical reporting to the allotted college must end by August 11. Candidates should track each deadline to avoid losing the allotted seat.

Who Is Eligible for the KKR Category Round?
The KKR round is open only to region locals with a valid eligibility certificate. The certificate must be issued under Article 371(J) of the Constitution. The region includes Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Bidar, Koppal, Raichur, Ballari and Vijayanagara districts.
Karnataka reserves 8 percent of professional college seats statewide for KKR locals. Within the region, 70 percent of seats are reserved for these candidates. Round 2 in 2026 addresses only these reserved seats.
How to Participate in COMEDK Round 2 Counselling 2026?
Eligible candidates must log in to their COMEDK counselling account. They will need their user ID and password to enter the portal. Choice filling and locking must be completed online during the announced window.
Seat allotment and the fee payment link open together on August 7 at 4 PM. Only candidates with Accept and Freeze status must report to the college. Missing the reporting deadline will cancel the allotted seat.
Candidates who wish to withdraw can use the cancellation form window. The cancellation link stays live till August 11, 3 PM. Rules for refunds will follow the counselling document on comedk.org.
Round 2 in 2026 is being held only for KKR reserved seats. General Merit candidates must wait for the next round on the same portal. Support is available on 080-69796266 and at studenthelpdesk@comedk.org.

- Log in to comedk.org and open the counselling portal.
- Complete choice filling between August 5 and August 6 by 12 noon.
- Check the seat allotment result on August 7 from 4 PM.
- Pay the counselling fee online before August 10, 4 PM.
- Confirm reporting timings with the allotted college in advance.
- Report physically to the college before August 11, 12 noon.
- Use the cancellation window till August 11, 3 PM if withdrawing.
