DTET Odisha Invites Applications for Diploma Courses through SAMS Portal; Apply till May 31

New Delhi: Directorate of Technical Education and Training (DTET), Odisha has started accepting applications for admission to Diploma Courses for the academic session of 2023-24. Aspiring candidates can apply through the SAMS Portal at samsodisha.gov.in.

To apply for the admission process, interested candidates must have passed the class 10th/ HSC examination conducted/declared by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha. The last date to submit applications through the official website is May 31, 2023.

DTET Odisha Diploma Admission 2023: Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Interested candidates can check the detailed eligibility and selection criteria for admission to Diploma programs mentioned below:

Diploma/Lateral Entry in Engineering/ Technology Courses:

• Candidates must have passed class 10th or equivalent examination from any recognized board.
• Candidates’ age must be at least 14 years as on July 01, 2023. 
• The lower age limit is 16 years for the students applying for the Mining & Drilling Engineering course. No upper age limit is prescribed.
• Candidates must have secured at least 35% marks in aggregate (30% in each subject) in their qualifying exam with English, Mathematics & Science subjects.
• Candidates can also take admission under lateral entry provided that they must have passed the class 12th examination in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.

Diploma in Non -Engineering Courses (1st year):

• Age Criteria: Lower age limit to apply is 16 years for Non -Engineering courses except Beauty Culture. For Beauty Culture, the lower age limit is 14 years. There is no upper age limit.
• Modern Office Management (MOM)/ HM & CT: Passed class 12th examination in any stream from CHSE Odisha or its equivalent with at least 30% marks in each subject.
• Pharmacy: Passed class 12th examination in Science stream with PCB or PCM subjects or its equivalent exam approved by Pharmacy Council of India securing at least 30% marks in each subject.
• Beauty Culture: Passed class 10th examination with at least 35% marks in aggregate and 30% marks in each subject with English, Mathematics & Science subjects.

Selection Process: After the application process, the selection of the candidates will be based on the performance of candidates in the last qualifying examination. Those who do not meet the criteria will not be considered for admission seats.

Candidates can apply online for the DTET Diploma Admission 2023 process by following the step-by-step guide mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of SAMS Odisha Portal at samsodisha.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘Diploma’ tab and click on the ‘New Registration for Diploma Admission 2023’ link.

Step 3: Enter your valid email id and mobile number for signup and click on the ‘Submit' button.

Step 4: Here enter an OTP that you will get on your registered mobile number.

Step 5: Log in to the page with the registration credentials to apply.

Step 6: Fill in all the necessary details and attach the mentioned documents in the prescribed format.

Step 7: Pay the required application fee through ATM cum Debit/ Credit Card/ Net Banking only.

Step 8: Submit the application form by hitting the ‘Submit’ button and take a printout of the application form for your records.
