DTU BTech Admission 2026 Special Spot Round Counselling on August 24 and 25; Check Who Can Apply

The Delhi Technological University (DTU) has announced the schedule for the BTech Admission 2026 Special Spot Round Counselling. As per the official notification released on the DTU website at dtu.ac.in, the round will be conducted on August 24 and 25, 2026. This round is being held to fill vacant BTech seats that remained after the earlier JAC Delhi counselling rounds and the regular spot round concluded in July 2026. Only a defined pool of candidates is eligible to attend.

Who Is Eligible for the DTU BTech Special Spot Round 2026?

The special spot round is not open to all applicants. As per the official notice, the following conditions must be met by every candidate.

• The candidate must have qualified JEE Main 2026 Paper 1.
• The candidate must have registered for JAC Delhi 2026 counselling earlier.
• Candidates who did not participate in JAC Delhi counselling are not eligible.

Candidates must report on the exact date and time specified in the official notice. Late reporting will not be entertained under any circumstances.

How to Participate in the DTU BTech Special Spot Round 2026?

The special spot round is an offline process. Eligible candidates must appear in person at the DTU campus with all original documents. The broad steps are as follows.

1. Read the official notification on dtu.ac.in in full.
2. Reach the DTU campus on the assigned date and time.
3. Complete document verification at the designated counter.
4. Check the vacant seat list displayed at the venue.
5. Select an available branch as per merit and preference.
6. Pay the admission fee on the spot to confirm the seat.

Candidates who cannot attend in person may send an authorised representative with all original documents and the required fee. The representative must carry a written authorisation letter.

Documents Required at the Counselling Venue

All original documents must be produced for verification. Candidates should also carry two sets of self-attested photocopies. The key documents include the following.

• JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 scorecard and admit card.
• Class 10 mark sheet and passing certificate.
• Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate.
• JAC Delhi 2026 registration slip and provisional allotment letter, if any.
• Category certificate, if applicable, in the prescribed format.
• Domicile certificate for Delhi region candidates.
• Valid photo ID proof such as Aadhaar or PAN card.
• Recent passport size photographs.

DTU BTech 2026 Fee at a Glance

Candidates confirming a seat in the special spot round must pay the applicable BTech fee on the day of admission. The total programme fee at DTU is approximately Rs 11.10 lakh across four years, covering tuition and academic charges. Hostel and mess charges are separate and optional.
