DU OBE Result 2020: Students Raise Objection Against Discrepancies in Result; Full Report Here

Delhi University (DU) final year students complained over the discrepancies in DU OBE Result 2020 declared on November 02, 2020. Students were unable to check their result status from the varsity’s official exam portal. 

Delhi University (DU) final year students informed that their results at the website showed either ‘no record found’ or ‘record not visible’. Some students have received their results, while others are still waiting for university to respond. 

As per the report of a media house, a B.Com (Hons) student at Kirori Mal College said that his OBE results were not reflected on the official website despite appearing for the examination. Another student from the College of Vocational Studies has claimed to face a similar issue.

To their clarification, the officials at Delhi University stated that these are minor issues and have nothing to do with OBE. They added, “It’s a minuscule percentage of students who face such issues and it has happened in previous years too.”

The student studying B.Com at Kirori Mal College (KMC) has been in touch with his teacher who is providing him complete guidance to solve the problem. He added, “There’s been back and forth on the issue but I still haven’t got my result. So I don’t know what to do.”

However, the student studying in the College of Vocational Studies facing the issue has been in touch with the nodal officer at his college. He said, “I have sent an email attaching my answer sheets, along with a screenshot of an email from DU saying my answer sheet had been submitted.”

Many teachers have come out to resolve the issues faced by students. One teacher informed the reporter that many students have been marked zero or absent. She also added, “Since results are not displayed the students are lost and confused about what to do next.”

Additionally, a nodal officer at Hansraj College (HRC) has also claimed to receive too many cases of results not been shown on the website. She further added that they have been following the notice that DU has come up with to resolve the issue.

According to the notification of Delhi University, In case of any discrepancy related to OBE results, the students shall email the complaints on a specific email ID provided by the varsity.

Sanjeev Singh, Head of DU’s Computer Centre assured that students facing such issues have been already asked to submit their complaints on which Delhi University is taking action to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

However, he also added, “Their results aren’t showing because they are still awaited due to various reasons — either there is some issue with the roll number or the files are inaccessible or the paper number is not written, etc.”
