HBTU has opened Round 4 counselling for BTech 2026-27 admissions. Fresh registration and choice filling run from July 16 to July 26 at hbtu.admissions.nic.in. Round 4 seat allotment will be declared on July 27, 2026.
Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur has opened Phase II counselling for Bachelor of Technology (BTech) 2026-27 admissions. Fresh registration and choice filling for Round 4 will take place on the official counselling portal at hbtu.admissions.nic.in.
The registration and choice-filling window will remain open from July 16 to July 26, 2026. The HBTU BTech Round 4 seat allotment result will be declared on July 27, 2026.
This phase is meant for candidates who did not receive a seat in Rounds 1 to 3. Fresh applicants who missed the earlier counselling registration can also participate in this round.

Who Can Apply for HBTU BTech Round 4 Counselling?
The HBTU BTech Round 4 counselling is open to two categories of candidates seeking admission to BTech programmes. Applicants must have a valid JEE Main 2026 score to participate in the counselling process.
Candidates who registered earlier but did not receive a seat in Rounds 1 to 3.
Fresh candidates who did not participate in Phase I counselling.
Applicants must also meet the required Class 12 qualifying marks mentioned in the official information bulletin. The Round 4 seat matrix will include seats left vacant after the Phase I withdrawal window.

How to Register for HBTU BTech Round 4 Counselling 2026?
Fresh applicants must complete the online registration process on the official counselling portal. Candidates should fill and lock their choices before the last date.
- Visit the official counselling portal at hbtu.admissions.nic.in.
- Click on the BTech Phase II registration link available on the homepage.
- Enter the JEE Main 2026 application number and personal details.
- Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the non-refundable counselling registration fee online.
- Fill in the preferred branches and arrange them in the correct order.
- Lock the choices before the deadline.
- Save and download the confirmation page for future reference.

HBTU BTech Phase II Registration Fee
Fresh candidates registering for Phase II counselling must pay a registration fee of Rs 2,500.
The counselling fee is non-refundable and can be paid through:
- Net banking
- Debit card
- Credit card
- UPI
Candidates who already registered during Phase I counselling are not required to pay the registration fee again.
Round 4 is the last major window for fresh JEE Main qualifiers to enter HBTU counselling. After Round 5 on July 31, only limited vacant seats may remain for spot rounds.
