The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has declared the JoSAA 2026 Round 4 seat allotment result on the official portal at josaa.nic.in. Allotted candidates must complete online reporting, pay the seat acceptance fee, and upload the required documents by July 13, 2026. The result was released on July 10, 2026, in the evening.
Candidates can view their allotted institute and branch by logging in with their JEE Main application number and password at josaa.admissions.nic.in. JoSAA manages admissions to 138 institutes for the 2026-27 academic session, covering 23 IITs, IISc Bengaluru, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 56 Other Government Funded Technical Institutes.

How to Check the JoSAA 2026 Round 4 Seat Allotment Result?
Candidates can access the Round 4 allotment status through the JoSAA candidate portal. The provisional seat allotment letter must be downloaded and saved for the reporting process.
- Visit the official website at josaa.nic.in.
- Click on the link for the Round 4 seat allocation result.
- Enter the JEE Main application number, password, and security pin.
- The allotted institute, branch, and category rank will appear on the screen.
- Download the provisional seat allotment letter for future reference.
How to Complete Online Reporting by July 13?
Online reporting is mandatory to confirm the allotted seat. Missing the July 13, 2026 deadline may lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat.
- Log in to the JoSAA candidate portal using the required credentials.
- Pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs 30,000 through net banking or e-challan. The fee for SC, ST, and PwD candidates is Rs 15,000.
- Upload scanned copies of the required documents in the prescribed format.
- Select one of the available options: Freeze, Slide, or Float.
- Check the portal regularly for the reporting centre’s response regarding document verification.

- JEE Main or JEE Advanced 2026 scorecard
- Class 10 certificate as proof of date of birth
- Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate
- Government-issued photo identity proof
- Category certificate for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, or EWS candidates, if applicable
- PwD certificate, if applicable
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Medical fitness certificate in the prescribed JoSAA format
What Happens After Online Reporting?
The reporting centre will verify the uploaded documents within the prescribed reporting window. If any document is incomplete, incorrect, or unclear, candidates will receive a query on the JoSAA portal.
Candidates must respond to the query before the specified deadline. Failure to submit the required clarification or corrected document may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
Candidates who select the Float or Slide option will remain eligible for seat upgradation in the next round. Candidates who select Freeze will retain the currently allotted seat and will not participate in further seat allocation rounds.

Round 4 is one of the final JoSAA rounds before the process shifts to CSAB special rounds. Vacant seats after Round 4 move to CSAB for NIT+ system fills. Students unhappy with the current allotment should weigh Float and Slide options carefully.
