The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra (CET Cell) has released the Maharashtra Common Admission Process (MAH CAP) 2026 Round 1 provisional seat allotment for MBA and MMS programmes. The result was declared on August 2, 2026 on the official portal at mba2026.mahacet.org.in. Candidates can now check their allotted institute and course through the candidate login.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat must confirm it online between August 3 and August 5, 2026. The last date and time for seat acceptance is 3:00 PM on August 5, 2026. A non-refundable acceptance fee of Rs 1,000 must be paid online during this window.
Payment can be made through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. Candidates who fail to accept the allotted seat within the deadline will lose their claim on the seat. Such candidates will not be considered for the next CAP round unless they complete the online acceptance step.

How to Check the MAH MBA CAP 2026 Round 1 Allotment?
The provisional allotment result can be checked through the candidate login on the official CAP portal. Candidates must keep their MAH MBA CET application number and password ready before starting.
- Visit the official website at mba2026.mahacet.org.in.
- Click on the link for CAP Round 1 provisional seat allotment.
- Enter your application number and password to log in.
- Check the allotted institute, course, and category status on screen.
- Download the allotment letter and save a copy for reporting.

How to Accept the Allotted Seat and Pay the Fee?
Seat acceptance is completed online through the same candidate login. Physical reporting is required only after the online steps are done.
- Log in to the CAP portal using your credentials.
- Open the seat acceptance form on the dashboard.
- Choose your option from Freeze, Slide, or Float, if applicable.
- Pay the non-refundable acceptance fee of Rs 1,000 online.
- Download the acceptance receipt for your records.
- Report to the allotted institute with required documents by 3:00 PM on August 5, 2026.
What Do Freeze, Slide, and Float Options Mean?
Candidates who accept their Round 1 seat can also choose their next preference. This decision affects whether they stay in Round 1 or move to the next CAP round.
- Freeze: The candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat. They exit the CAP process after Round 1.
- Slide: The candidate accepts the current seat. They remain in the process for a better course in the same institute.
- Float: The candidate accepts the current seat. They remain in the process for a better institute in later rounds.
Missing the August 5 deadline cancels the Round 1 allotment. Candidates who skip online acceptance cannot enter Round 2. The Rs 1,000 fee is non-refundable, so choose Freeze, Slide, or Float with care.
