The Maharashtra State CET Cell has released the CAP 2026-27 schedule for MBA and MMS admissions. Notice No. 1 covers all activities from online registration up to the final merit list at cetcell.mahacet.org.

MAH MBA MMS CAP 2026-27

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has started the CAP admission process for MBA/MMS 2026-27. As per the official admission notice, the online registration and document upload process began on July 2, 2026, and candidates can complete it till July 12, 2026, up to 5 PM

The notice has been issued as Admission Notice No. 1/2026/1581 for admission to the First Year of Full Time Management Programme MBA/MMS for the academic year 2026-27 in Maharashtra. The process applies to Government, Government Aided, University Managed, University Managed Departments, and Unaided private professional educational institutes in the state.

MAH MBA MMS CAP 2026-27 Registration Started

Candidates seeking admission through CAP seats must complete online registration, upload the required documents, and get the application verified and confirmed through the selected scrutiny mode. Only eligible registered candidates whose applications are confirmed will be considered for CAP merit and admission through CAP

The notice also mentions that candidates can choose either E-Scrutiny or Physical Scrutiny mode during online form filling. In E-Scrutiny mode, candidates do not need to visit the facilitation centre, as the application and documents will be verified online. In Physical Scrutiny mode, candidates must visit the selected Scrutiny Centre or Facilitation Centre with the required documents as per the allotted time slot.

Who Can Apply for MAH MBA MMS CAP 2026-27?

For Maharashtra State candidature, candidates must be Indian citizens and must have passed a minimum three-year Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in any discipline. They must have at least 50 percent marks in aggregate, or 45 percent marks for reserved category, EWS, and PwD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only. They must also have a non-zero score in MAH MBA/MMS CET 2026

For All India candidature, candidates must be Indian citizens and must have passed a minimum three-year Bachelor’s degree with the required marks. They must have a valid non-zero positive score in MAH MBA/MMS CET, CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT, or GMAT

MAH MBA MMS CAP 2026-27 Application Fee

Candidates who have already registered for MBA/MMS CET 2026 are not required to pay any fee for admission registration. Other candidates with valid CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT, or GMAT scores must pay the fee online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or other permitted online modes. The fee is non-refundable

Document Verification Process

The document verification and application confirmation process will run from July 3 to July 13, 2026, up to 5 PM. Candidates selecting E-Scrutiny must upload scanned original documents online. If no error is found, the verification status and receipt-cum-acknowledgement will be available in the candidate login. If an error is found, the application will be reverted to the candidate for correction and resubmission. 

Candidates selecting Physical Scrutiny must visit the selected facilitation centre with the required documents. After verification and confirmation, the facilitation centre will issue the receipt-cum-acknowledgement

Provisional Merit List and Grievance Window

The provisional merit list for Maharashtra State and All India candidates will be displayed on July 15, 2026. Candidates can submit grievances from July 16 to July 18, 2026, up to 5 PM through their login. Candidates who selected Physical Scrutiny mode must visit the facilitation centre for resolving grievances.

The final merit list for Maharashtra State and All India candidates will be released on July 20, 2026. The further schedule for option form filling and CAP allotment will be declared shortly. 

Important Instructions for Candidates

The notice states that candidates must resolve discrepancies marked in their CAP application during the document verification process within the given timeline. If the online filled application is not confirmed by the Scrutiny Centre or through E-Scrutiny mode, such applications will be rejected and the candidate’s name will not appear in the merit list for CAP or Non-CAP admission. 

Candidates from reserved categories must produce the required certificates during verification. Backward class candidates excluding SC and ST must submit a Non-Creamy Layer certificate valid up to March 31, 2027. If required certificates are not produced, such candidates will be treated as General category candidates for CAP admissions.

For queries, candidates can contact the helpline numbers 7669861010 or 18004106363 between 10 AM and 6 PM. The notice also says that all types of document verification activity will remain open on all days, including Saturday and Sunday, between 10 AM and 5:30 PM

Why This Notice Matters

The CAP route covers close to 300 MBA and MMS institutes in Maharashtra. Missing a single step in the schedule can push a candidate out of the merit list, even with a strong CET score. Every date in Notice No. 1 is binding on candidates.

  2. Keep the MAH CET 2026 scorecard and all academic documents scanned.
  3. Arrange the domicile and category certificates in advance.
  4. Complete the online registration well before the last date.
  5. Book an early slot for e-scrutiny to avoid last-minute rush.
  6. Track the provisional merit list and raise grievances if required.
