Several private medical colleges across Kerala West Bengal Karnataka and Rajasthan offer management quota MBBS seats with total course fees under Rs 1 crore for 2026-27. NEET UG qualification remains mandatory for all such admissions.

National Medical Commission (NMC) rules allow institutional pricing on management quota MBBS seats. Several private colleges keep total course fees under Rs 1 crore. This applies to the 2026-27 MBBS admission session. Annual tuition sits between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 22 lakh at these institutes.
The 4.5-year total cost therefore fits under Rs 1 crore. Kerala, West Bengal, Karnataka, and Rajasthan host most of these seats. Candidates need a valid NEET UG 2026 scorecard to apply. NEET UG is the sole gateway for every MBBS seat.
State-Wise Fee Range for Sub-Crore Management Quota MBBS
The most affordable management quota seats sit in four states. These states host tier-2 private colleges with regulated fees. The table below shows tuition and total course cost.
| State | Annual Tuition Range | 4.5-Year Course Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Kerala | Rs 8 lakh to Rs 17 lakh | Rs 36 lakh to Rs 76 lakh |
| West Bengal | Rs 12 lakh to Rs 20 lakh | Rs 54 lakh to Rs 90 lakh |
| Karnataka (tier-2) | Rs 12 lakh to Rs 22 lakh | Rs 54 lakh to Rs 99 lakh |
| Rajasthan | Rs 15 lakh to Rs 22 lakh | Rs 67 lakh to Rs 99 lakh |
These ranges cover tuition only. Hostel and mess charges add Rs 1 to Rs 3 lakh yearly. Students must verify the current fee card on each college website.
Who Is Eligible for Management Quota MBBS 2026?
NEET UG 2026 qualification is mandatory for every management quota MBBS seat. The minimum qualifying percentile is 50 for General and EWS candidates. It drops to 40 for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.
Candidates must also clear the Class 12 subject rule. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology with English are compulsory. Aggregate marks in these science subjects must meet the NMC minimum.
How Does the Management Quota Admission Work?
Management quota seats are filled after government quota rounds close. In Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh, they run through state counselling portals. Examples include KEA, MahaCET, and NTR University counselling.
In Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Punjab, colleges may fill seats directly. Candidates apply to the institute after state counselling ends. The seat is confirmed on merit within qualifying NEET UG scores.
NMC Fee Cap Rule to Watch
The NMC's 2022 memorandum caps fees on half of private seats. These 50 percent seats are charged at the state government college rate. This rule is separate from the management quota fee bucket.
The remaining 50 percent seats can be priced at institutional rates. These form the management and NRI quota pool. State Fee Regulatory Committees still oversee the ceiling.
Kerala hosts the lowest management quota MBBS fee band in India. Annual tuition starts at Rs 8 lakh at select self-financing colleges. The full MBBS cost then drops below Rs 50 lakh for some seats.
Action Plan for Candidates
- Visit the official MCC portal and your state counselling website. Track the private college seat matrix for 2026-27.
- Confirm the current annual fee on each shortlisted college's official website. Add hostel and mess charges to the total.
- Keep the NEET UG 2026 scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets ready. Domicile proof is needed in most state counsellings.
- Register for state counselling in the state where the college sits. Management quota often runs through the same portal.
- Arrange the first year fee before the reporting deadline. Delays can lead to seat cancellation.
Watch the NMC website and state counselling portals closely. The 2026-27 seat matrix and revised fee lists drop soon.
