The State CET Cell has published the MHT CET ME/MTech CAP 2026 Final Merit List. The Round 1 option form is live at me2026.mahacet.org from August 4 to August 6, 2026 for Non-Sponsored, Sponsored and Defence candidates.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Government of Maharashtra, has published the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) ME/MTech Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026 Final Merit List. The list is now live on the official portal at me2026.mahacet.org. The board declared the merit list on August 2, 2026.
The CAP Round 1 online option form submission is now open on the same portal. Candidates can enter and confirm their preferred colleges and branches from August 4 to August 6, 2026. The option form must be locked through the candidate login before the deadline.
The MHT CET ME/MTech CAP is the centralised counselling route for postgraduate engineering admissions in Maharashtra. It fills seats in government, aided and unaided private institutes across the state.

Merit Lists Released on the Official Portal
The CET Cell has released separate final merit lists on the me2026.mahacet.org portal. Each list is available as a downloadable PDF from the candidate section. The board has also uploaded a list of candidates who were found not eligible.

Candidates must check their merit number and category status before filling the option form. Any correction request must be routed through the official grievance channel.
How to Submit the CAP Round 1 Option Form?
The option form must be filled and confirmed through the candidate login. Preferences decide the college and branch a candidate may be allotted in Round 1.
- Visit the official portal at me2026.mahacet.org.
- Click on the candidate login link on the homepage.
- Enter your application number and password to sign in.
- Open the CAP Round 1 option form section.
- Select preferred institutes and branches in order of choice.
- Rearrange the list so the top choice appears first.
- Review all entries once before final submission.
- Click on the confirm and lock button to save choices.
- Download the confirmed option form for future reference.
Who Should Fill the Option Form?
All eligible candidates who appear in the final merit list must fill the option form. This includes Non-Sponsored, Sponsored and Non-Sponsored Defence candidates. Only candidates who confirm their options will be considered for Round 1 seat allotment.
Candidates listed in the not eligible list are not permitted to fill the option form. They may contact the helpline for grievance redressal within the schedule notified by the CET Cell.

The order of choices you lock now decides your Round 1 seat. A confirmed and well-ordered option form is your only claim on a preferred college. Skipping the deadline means losing your Round 1 chance.
