750 of the 1563 eligible students skipped the NEET UG 2024 re-test on June 23. The highest number of absent students were from Chattisgarh.

New Delhi: The NEET UG 2024 Re-test was held on June 23, 2024 from 2 PM to 5.20 PM. 813 out of the 1563 eligible candidates appeared for the examination, accounting for 52% of the total eligible students. 750 students chose not to appear for the re-test as they were given options to choose between attending the re-test or having the original marks without grace marks.
The NEET UG 2024 Re-test results are expected to be declared on or before June 30, 2024. Candidates who chose not to appear for the examination will have their final results based on scores from the NEET UG 2024 held on May 5, 2024 without any compensatory or grace marks. Those who appeared for the re-examination will have their new scores considered replacing the previous one.

What’s Next After the NEET UG 2024 Re-test?
The NEET UG 2024 re-test was already held on June 23, 2024. The NTA will soon release the NEET UG 2024 counselling schedule. The counselling process is expected to start in July. Once the counselling process is completed, candidates will be allotted seats in medical colleges based on the choice filling and available seats.
